Are You Ready for AI Essentials?
Where are you on the AI Knowledge spectrum? I'm preparing a 5-day AI Essentials program that will get you started with AI. At the end of the 5 days, you'll be able to write quality prompts and will walk away with a "Master Prompt" that will improve the quality of your AI output and help your AI Tools speak in your voice. Let me know where you are with AI right now, and if you're interested in the Essential program, leave an "I'm in!" in the comments.

Wayfinder's Workshop Wednesday - a bit late
I did so much work on updating our Skool site yesterday that I completely forgot to post about it! Here are some of the changes you may have noticed: - Updated Images On the About page, the Community Cover (on the right side of the screen), and our Community badge. Since these are the first images that people see, they needed to speak a bit more clearly about the focus of our site. - Terminology We're moving away from the term "adulting." While it still fits, this is a term that is considered "cringe" to a large part of our target audience. So while I'll still use it occasionally, it won't be used as the name for our primary focus. "Life Skills" is a more appropriate term and covers a broader range of potential content. So... Welcome to your Life Skills Adventure! - More Organized Classroom The classroom now reflects our new tiered membership levels, with the more "top of mind" journeys at the top. You'll find the Tier Catalogs in the first row — they contain the list of all content you have access to with direct links so you don't have to fish around to find what you need. You'll also find instructions for claiming your seat in the QuestKeeper, our Learning Management System (LMS). - More Organized Onboarding You'll find three pinned posts on our Community landing page. If you follow them in order, you'll learn what you need to do in order to get started, get the most out of your membership, and reach your first reward. - Renamed Flagship Journey To better fit the "Life Skills" theme, our flagship journey is now titled "Money Matters" and will cover the financial literacy topics. This journey is available for all tiers because money matters is something everyone needs. As a REMINDER: The first Quest in the Money Matters journey is available - Why Do We Have a Minimum Wage? This is not so much a history lesson as it is a call to consider how the concept of Minimum Wage applies to every one of us as we navigate job searches and pay negotiation. Why do we need a minimum wage, and how does it impact our own salaries? This is foundational material as we move into topics that cover how we use the money we earn. This quest also comes with a Companion Guide for teachers and homeschoolers, available at Premium and VIP tiers.

Yes - I really like the way this is evolving. At isn't that ultimate the point of what you are doing. Helping us evolve and stretch our minds?! Oh, and I'm on vacation when the Apex challenge starts so make a note of that for me. Hopefully I can jump in later?

Saturday Scout's Note - Coming in Hot
Today’s Scout’s Note is arriving a bit later than usual because this morning was filled with something very important: celebrating my grandson’s 4th birthday. 💜 I made 48 lemon cupcakes for the party, and I had every intention of taking a beautiful photo to share… but between baking, frosting, packing, setting up, celebrating, chasing the moment, and soaking it all in, I have exactly zero photos. The cupcakes got eaten. The four-year-old was thrilled. That's a complete record. Because apparently, I was that busy. So instead of cupcake pictures, I’ll be sharing the recipe — because honestly, the cupcakes were amazing, and that still deserves a proper spotlight. 🧁✨ This is the second time I've made this recipe, and they were specifically requested by my daughter-in-law. Call answered! Now, this isn't my recipe. It's is a Lemon Cake from the Preppy Kitchen. Including the frosting, it uses 2 cups of butter, 1 cup of cream cheese, 3 eggs, 1 cup of buttermilk, and the juice and zest of 3 lemons. And IT . IS . DELICIOUS ! The testimonial? This is a crowd that doesn't usually eat sweets, much less cake, and the cake disappeared the first time and the second. Two people asked who made it so they could give compliments. It's perfect for the warm weather, and I really hope you enjoy it! But my weekend isn't done yet! Tomorrow brings another big family moment: a baby shower for my nephew’s twins. Two tiny new lives on the way. Another celebration. Another gathering. Another reminder that some weekends are not about productivity, polish, or perfect posting schedules. Some weekends are about showing up for the people we love. Here's what I want to say about that, in case it's useful for any of you: Family matters. Showing up for the people you love is one of the most important life skills there is, and it doesn't show up on any résumé. The skill of being present for a 4-year-old's birthday. The skill of celebrating someone else's joy at a baby shower. The skill of making 48 cupcakes when you could have ordered them.

Introducing "We Wednesday" - We're doing this together, not alone!
I was trying to figure out what to post today about "We Wednesday," and had a few options. But sometimes the universe makes other plans, which happened in this case. This video came across my Facebook feed, and I loved that someone else is working toward the same goal - empowering our young people to know how to do the things they need to do. In this case, it's King Randall, who started a free boarding school in Georgia and teaches boys how to do the everyday things they need to know about, including the things that are typically done by girls. Within the lessons, he peppers other important tips about how to show up in your relationships, how to apply the math that you learned, and generally how to problem solve. There are things in the lessons that I might frame differently - but that's okay, because life doesn't have a single answer, and we all have different lived experiences. I will only add that girls need to learn this same information, and when showing up in your relationships, we should help each other as much as we can! Watch it here - Boys should know how to do laundry and then drop a comment below to let me know what you think!
