Feedback Request! Directional Shift!
Hi everyone! First, thank you for walking this journey with me and being patient while I get things all figured out. I'd love your feedback right now - I've changed the "theme" to appeal to a generation (or 2) of gamers and to hopefully make things more fun while still creating motivation to learn. If you have a minute - please explore the About page, the graphics, and the classroom. In the classroom, I have started to update the Setting Goals That Actually Work course (just the first lesson) to match the theme. I'd love to know if you find the theme fun, motivational, and understandable. Does it resonate with you whether you are a gamer or not? You can access the course quickly as a guest here: https://bit.ly/4aEB5vo Please share your feedback openly here or you can DM it to me if that makes you uncomfortable. There is no bad feedback. It will only help improve the experience here. Thank you in advance!

I really like to look and feel the new layout. Even though I’m not a huge gamer, this is very appealing visually and draws me in as a learner. Looking forward to seeing where this evolves do.
Self-Care Week: January Edition
January can be a challenging month. The holidays are over. Motivation is supposed to be high, but energy is often low. The days are short, routines are shifting, and many of us are already judging ourselves on our progress toward the goals we just set. So, let's make this week "Self-Care Week!" If you can relate to the sentiments above, it may be time to focus on energy conservation, not full-speed-ahead self-improvement. Instead of "doing more," consider: - Protecting your energy - Creating stability - Reducing decision fatigue How? Give yourself permission and pick ONE non-negotiable daily anchor. That could be - Waking up at the same time every day - Eating the same breakfast - Taking the same 5-minute walk - Following the same waking-up or winding-down routine Keep it intentionally boring and easily repeatable. And let that one thing be "enough" for a successful day. Don't be hard on yourself. Give yourself an easy win to celebrate. What will be your easy win?

Great ideas. Overcommitting oneself, especially at the beginning of the year, is never a smart thing to do. The concept of resolutions just doesn’t hold true with me anymore. Focus on simple yet impactful things that are most meaningful to you to aspire to is where true success lies.
A Quick Reflection About Money
Financial responsibility isn't something that many of us were actually "taught," until it was too late. Some of us had to learn the hard way. Let's talk about that. Think back to a time when managing money felt confusing, overwhelming, or just plain hard, whether that was recently or when you were younger. 💜 Then share one thing you wish you'd known about money earlier in life (or even now, if it applies). 💜

I wish I had better understood how credit cards worked snd how easy it was to get trapped into the viscous cycle of buying ‘stuff’, paying the minimum, getting more cards, buying stuff not needed, etc. it took my many years to get out of credit card debt. I finally did but it was a high price to get through that period of my life. Never again.
