After hearing Sherif Foda speak today, what stayed with you most?
My biggest personal takeaway from the session: A lot of things in energy aren’t impossible — they’re a question of will, execution, and economics. Today, we covered everything from building NESR to leadership, energy transition, and scaling in complex markets. What stayed with you most? Drop your thoughts and reflections in the comments You can find the session recording on the classroom section of the community! After hearing Sherif Foda speak today, what stayed with you most?
What stayed with me most was the idea that many limitations in energy aren’t truly technical, they’re economic or driven by mindset. The example of making oil & gas operations more environmentally responsible only works if it also makes business sense really shifted how I think about the energy transition. It made me reflect on how often we focus on “what is possible” instead of “what is scalable and sustainable in reality.” Also appreciated the emphasis on stepping outside comfort zones, both geographically and professionally, to grow. Curious how others are thinking about this balance between innovation and economic viability.
