A great example of what we're building at Trade Algorithm, and how we're turning market behaviour into a systematic trading methodology. Yesterday, the YM futures (US30 CFD) presented a beautiful bullish Zero Pattern setup straight out of the Wall Street open at 9:35 AM New York time, delivering a 3R opportunity. What makes this particularly interesting is that the opportunity was identified through the combined context of two tools we're developing: - Pressure Box Scanner: Identifies compression patterns and builds our watchlist ahead of the trading session. - Trap Matrix: Provides the multi-timeframe directional context and alignment to help us identify where expansion opportunities may develop. Understanding Market Regimes At Trade Algorithm, we're building our methodology around three fundamental market conditions: 1. COMPRESSION – Markets consolidate, building pressure within defined structures. 2. EXPANSION – Price breaks from those structures and directional movement develops. 3. EXHAUSTION – Momentum begins to deteriorate, potentially setting up the next transition. Our priority is COMPRESSION, and more importantly, teaching traders how to identify and trade the transition from compression into expansion. This is the foundation of our developing Pressure Box trading system. Yesterday's US30 Zero Pattern In the accompanying 20-minute video, I walk through yesterday's bullish Zero Pattern, showing how our scanner and Trap Matrix worked together to identify the opportunity. We look at the compression structure, multi-timeframe alignment and the bullish setup that developed shortly after the Wall Street open. The result? A potential 3R trade from a clearly defined, rules-based opportunity.
