We are the Mirror
Our children learn far more about empathy by observing how we treat them when they make mistakes than they do from any lecture we give. Compassion is a "caught" trait, meaning our reactions become the blueprint for their own future self-talk. How has your style of relating to your children or students evolved as you’ve become more aware of the example you are setting?

I have become a lot less reactive and learnt how to be responsive and see the world from their perspective
This is what I am hearing from you guys
Consistency Over Intensity Success in long-term goals is more often the result of small, daily actions than it is of sudden bursts of extraordinary effort. Helping your kids or students value the "boring" middle part of a project is essential for developing a disciplined character. How do you help your children or students stay committed to a goal once the initial excitement has worn off?

My kids change their minds and wants so much that weve not really had any long term goals
Urgency
We don't know if we have tomorrow. So, does that thinking create the necessary urgency to help you move foreward with your project to help others?

i try to enjoy today, and if that means relaxing then i will relax in my final moments!!! if i get tomorrow i can hope i feel more motivated then to do things, but i tend to go with the flow, i dont like feeling forced to get something completed or done in a time frame, live in the moment !!!
One thing you would change
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I've lived the storm of parenting with a mental illness. I help parents regulate their nervous system and break cycles of guilt, shame, and overwhelm.
