Sun - Mar 15. The Ides of March - Knowing when to ask for help!
Hi Friend! What Julius Caesar didn't notice and brushed off on a long-ago March 15th cost him dearly. It appears he was so certain of himself that he didn't listen to dire warnings. I'll let you look that one up, if you'd like. Things aren't quite so dire today, but I'm taking an opportunity to listen to what @Lisa Burke said in her comment on the Mar. 12 post. She is wise indeed to remind herself and all of us that asking for help when we're stuck is a good plan. Immediately upon reading her comment, I was reminded of a book I keep on my nightstand for when I need some gentle, happy thoughts to help me sleep. "The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse" is a sweet reminder to care for ourselves and each other, by artist Charlie Mackesy. I highly recommend it! The Boy asks the Horse when he has been at his strongest, and the Horse tells him it's when he's been brave enough to show weakness. "Asking for help isn't giving up," said the Horse. "It's refusing to give up." I have felt like giving up on technology this week, but I'm going to find solutions, instead. When and how have YOU refused to give up?

Sun - Mar 1. My Country Causing World Chaos for...?
US politics is dead. It used to be the debate and haggling and coming to some agreement between Democrats and Republicans. That all seems quaint now. So if you believe what I say here is political, I disagree. This is humanitarian. It's life and death. It's a cancer spreading. It's unconstitutional. And it's Chaos. Tonight I'm working all the strategies I know to get to sleep. EFT Tapping in the shower. Box Breathing while I'm getting ready for bed. Brain brushing when I lay my head on the pillow. Jin Shin Finger holds while I drift off to sleep (hopefully). It is a mighty challenge we face to manage our fear, rage, and overwhelm when they lead the mind and heart. As we choose our paths to work for the betterment of others, we must first fill our own buckets. I'm holding each of you in my heart today, and reminding you to care for yourself first. I'll be back this week with more quick practice videos for your well-being. What measures are YOU taking now to calm your chaos and ground your self?

Hello My Chaos Calming Critters! When do you know your Chaos has taken control? I've mentioned before that I am a stress-eater. My mouth never met an upset or an illness it couldn't cure by filling itself. So when I heard the news that American servicepersons and Iranian civilians had been killed, I went to the store and bought a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie mix. Really bad plan. Yesterday, I ate 4, and today, I just polished off cookie number 3, and now my stomach is upset. I could have made the better choice of a large mug of tea. I could have created the next video for my Functional Fitness Over 50 community. I could have closed the basement door and yelled obscenities. Instead, I do what many of us fall into when feeling overwhelmed. I started stuffing my face. But what I'm not going to do is beat myself up over it, because that causes more Chaos. I'll put half of the rest of the cookies in the back of the freezer. The other half will go to my neighbor. And I'll chock this up to my having learned how much Chaos and stress it takes to make me bake cookies. Pretty tall order, and now I'll be ready next time to choose from my list of options something healthier than chocolate chip cookies to soothe me from Chaos back to Calm. What are your signals that Chaos has arrived at the party in Go-Go boots? Check the calendar for your Wed eve LIVE Call link - 6pm MT, 8pm ET, 5pm PT.

Fri - Feb 27. The List is Long, but the Solutions Are Many
Friday Greetings to You! I'm reflecting on the many Chaos struggles and shared strategies from the last month in this community. So much value! I've received and shared ideas on better sleep (writing next day lists, taking notes to relieve the 3am wake-ups, blood sugar snacking, brain-brushing, box breathing, Jin Shin finger holds and mudras, visioning parts of body from heated red to cool blue) and they've all helped me to slumber better. We've talked about lessons learned, and coping with "supervisors" who cause Chaos, psychic vampires, balancing responsibilities with loved ones, stress-eating, and cleaning up our self talk. Today, I'm wondering what is your current state of Calm? And how are you maintaining it? And what would you like for us to look at next as we become able to do as the Monks have done? As they encourage us: "Today Will Be My Peaceful Day" Please let yourself be heard here as we move into our next phase together. And please invite a friend to join us!

Ive been using the techniques to help me through a recent break up and I managed to find some peace and clairty- so much so that when my ex noticed I was finally ok without him and so he decided to start messaging me that he still loves me and misses me- it didnt make me chaotic again. I was actually able to say with real inner peace that I wish him all the best on his journey but I no longer want to be a part of it. Before, I would have become enraged and spat out all the hurt, but now, ive not only accepted the break up, but I am excited for a new future in front of me. Being a part of this group and watching your videos and learning about chaos to calm, has done wonders for me Thank you! I am maintaining my calm by focusing on gratitude.
Sat - Feb 21. Technical Difficulties. Please Stand By!
Hello My Friend, Wow. What a strange few days. I missed posting cuz I was caught in the Chaos of Uncooperative Technology! I'm glad to be back. When I realized that my tech difficulties were over my head, I reached out for support. I spent time with a technician from The Geek Squad, and then with folks in The Apple Store. Oh, yeah, and then stopped at my fave Indian restaurant to pick up take-out dinner. Yum!! Moral of the story for today? Don't struggle with your Chaos when there's someone who can help. Reach out and ask for what you need. And then treat yourself when the problem is solved. πŸ˜„ What is something you could reach out to others to help with or ask them to take responsibility for?

I love this! And yummy Indian takeaway πŸ˜‹ I need to do up a new chore chart to get the kids doing more around the house and establish the routine we used to have. I had a lot of chaos in my life recently I became lax in getting housework sorted and always falling behind then pushing through to catch up because clutter gives me anxiety. I need to remember I have 2 perfectly capable teenagers in the house who need to step up haha and ive found a visible chore chart on the fridge is the easiest way to get things done. My reward will be a clean house I didnt have to do by myself ! But Indian sounds way better, our local restaurant around the corner does the best butter chicken and garlic prawns ever hahaha πŸ˜†
