Engaging your quiet members is a great idea... until it isn't
Level 1 and 2 members are usually the quiet ones. Sometimes they want to lurk, sometimes they just don't know where to start. So I did something I called No Member Left Behind. I made a post and tagged every single one of them. A personal shoutout. A direct invitation to come out of the shadows and just say hi. And it worked. Members who hadn't said a word suddenly started showing up. Commenting. Engaging. It felt great. But then something else happened. One of those quiet members I'd tagged started dropping really solid comments. Nothing suspicious. Just good engagement. I was happy to see it. Until I got a notification about a new post in the community. It was him. Promoting offshore services and dropping a WhatsApp number. I deleted it and kept responding to comments. Then it happened again. Same idea. Different WhatsApp number. So I banned him. Here's what that whole thing taught me... your most important job as a community owner isn't just getting members in the door. It's not just getting your members to engage... It's protecting the experience for the ones who are genuinely there to grow. Don't wait for someone to start spamming your community before you have a plan to protect it. Skool Homeroom is here to help you build a community Skool Homeroom is here to help you build, grow, and protect a Skool community that people actually want to be part of. What happens when you focus 100% on Skool member growth for 30 days?
Last month, I decided to find out. No distractions. No "new project" syndrome. Just a relentless focus on one metric: Skool membership growth. The result? 0 to 75 new members in 30 days. I know it's a win. Some communities struggle to get 75 members in 3 months. But it wasn't a "polished" success story. It was a rollercoaster. When I had high energy, the numbers climbed. When life got chaotic and my energy tanked, the numbers stalled. Why? Because I was "winging it" on caffeine and creative sparks instead of a repeatable system. Even though I grew by 75 members, I realized that "intensity" isn't a long-term strategy... consistency is. So, starting tomorrow, Iโ€™m doing it again. But this time, Iโ€™m following a plan. And I'm inviting you to join me to reach your first or your next 100 members. This time, I'm moving away from "failed science experiment" towards a repeatable system that works. We're looking at exactly what's working, what's not, and how to stay consistent on your membership growth plan. The first video opens Monday April 6th ...and the first live call is Wednesday, April 8th This isn't a polished highlight reel from a creator with a massive pre-existing audience... this is a real, ground-zero growth strategy in action. First 10 spots are $10. A few are already taken. Price goes up after the first 10 are gone Ready to get your first or next 100 members? Join us in Skool Homeroom Don't wait for "inspiration" to grow your community. We're building it together. First bell's about to ring... don't be late https://www.skool.com/skool-homeroom-6736/about

@Adam McCollough oh! I completely get the tears of frustration from growing a business. Skool really is an amazing place and I'm so glad for all the friendships I've created through this platform. It's truly been amazing. I cheering for you that in 3 weeks... you'll be telling us about all your victories. But we're here for the frustrations too

Are you proposing on the first date?
So many people I talk to about their Facebook and Instagram ads "not working" have a common theme. Most of us won't buy something from someone online from someone who just pops up in our feed. (Of course there are exceptions๐Ÿฅณ) Not all ads are supposed to be sales or conversions. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ It takes between 5 and a million and five touches for someone to buy from you, so why not have your ads do the work, and stop posting on social media every single day. I'll be talking about this during my masterclass on April 15th!

@Karin Crawford I think this is perfect! it's what I was talking about posting authority or connection pieces along with promos... there has to be a balance between all three in order to build your know, like, and trust with people in a community.
Ever Think About Self-Publishing a Book? New Masterclass on the Calendar
If you've ever dreamed of writing a book, think it might be a good career move, or just want to make some extra $$$, the CLASSIFIEDS own @Krista Brea is your first stop. Here is what she has to say: Ready to turn your knowledge into a book that builds your authority and creates income? In this masterclass, Iโ€™ll show you how to approach self-publishing strategically so your book actually works for you. As a self-publisher and SEO strategist, Iโ€™ve learned that the real power of a book isnโ€™t just in writing it, itโ€™s in using it to elevate your expertise and create income streams. One of the biggest mistakes creators make is choosing a topic that no one is searching for, and thatโ€™s exactly what weโ€™re going to fix. Iโ€™ll walk you through how to validate your book idea before you write it, so you can move forward with confidence knowing thereโ€™s real demand behind it. This is your shortcut to starting smarter, saving time, and building something that has true income potential. Check the calendar for times in your timezone!

Does your onboarding work?
I asked my community a simple question this week: "How are you handling onboarding?" โ€ฆand the answers were really interesting ๐Ÿ‘€ Some people are: โ†’ sending welcome DMs โ†’ tagging new members โ†’ using templates Others said: โ†’ โ€œitโ€™s on my listโ€ โ†’ โ€œI need to figure this outโ€ And one person built a full 36-page onboarding plan ๐Ÿ˜ณ So hereโ€™s what Iโ€™m seeingโ€ฆ Most people arenโ€™t lacking effort. Theyโ€™re lacking a clear, simple onboarding system that actually gets people engaged fast. Because onboarding isnโ€™t just: โ€œwelcome to the group ๐Ÿ‘‹โ€ Itโ€™s the moment where someone decides: ๐Ÿ‘‰ โ€œthis is worth my timeโ€ or ๐Ÿ‘‰ โ€œIโ€™ll check back laterโ€ (and never do) This is something we've been talking about inside Skool Homeroom, because thereโ€™s a huge difference between having onboarding and having onboarding that works. If youโ€™re building a Skool community, this is one of those things that changes everything once you get it right. If you're not in Skool Homeroom... you're MISSING OUT What you waiting for?
