'The Call' to Wake Up!
Hey Beautiful Souls, Something inspired me to pull out an old book I received some years back & chose to share an excerpt as an invitation/reminder... Awake my Soul! ☀️ Please share if this inspires or prompts anything for you. 👀 I would love to hear your reflections! ❤️‍🔥 Here is the audio recording: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-14-the-call/id1827027271?i=1000777071556

This immediately brought Mumford & Sons’ “Awake My Soul” to mind—especially the line “lend me your hand.” 😁 The call to wake up feels less like a command and more like an invitation back into your own life: a hand extended, while the choice to rise still belongs to you. 🔥

@Dana Renee Hi everyone! I’m Rose, from Louisiana. 🌞 I’m a writer, symbolic storyteller, and the creator of a growing Symbolic Literacy community where we explore symbols, stories, relationships, dreams, and everyday life with curiosity before certainty. I joined YES YOU CAN because I’m in a season of becoming more visible, connecting with other thoughtful creators, and building what I’ve been carrying internally in practical ways. Outside of my work, I enjoy writing, art, mythology, philosophy, astrology, and noticing the deeper patterns hiding inside ordinary moments. I’m glad to be here and look forward to getting to know everyone. 📜🪞🔥

Releasing Expectations
This week, I've been thinking a lot about the expectations I've placed on myself. When I first began this journey to care for others about 10 years ago, I simply wanted to help people. I wanted to create resources that would encourage others, build a community where people felt supported, and offer hope to those who spend so much of their lives caring for others. Those are good goals, but somewhere along the way, I realized I had started measuring success by numbers instead of by faith. I found myself wondering how many people were reading, watching, or visiting the website. The more I focused on those questions, the more pressure I placed on myself. Lately, I've been reminded that my purpose isn't to build something successful. My purpose is to be faithful. Each day I write, create, and look for stories, ideas, and resources that might encourage someone. Every conversation, every act of kindness, every story, and every resource I share is simply another seed being planted. The truth is, I may never know where those seeds land. Some may encourage someone today. Others may not take root until months or even years from now. Some may quietly touch the life of a person I'll never meet. That doesn't make the seed any less valuable. It reminds me that my responsibility is not to control the outcome, but to keep planting. As I continue this journey, I'm learning to release my expectations and trust that faith will carry each seed where it needs to go. My hope is to create spaces where people can pause, breathe, reconnect with themselves, and find encouragement. If one story helps one person take a moment to care for themselves today, then it has already made a difference. So today I'm choosing to let go. I'm releasing the pressure to measure success by numbers. I'm releasing the belief that I have to solve every problem. Instead, I want to faithfully plant seeds of encouragement, self care, compassion, and hope, trusting that the right people will receive them at the right time.

@Jeremy Miller Releasing the outcome doesn’t mean releasing responsibility. It means tending the work without trying to control where every seed lands or when it blooms. I’m learning that consistency can be quieter than pressure. Sometimes the work is simply to slow down, show up, plant what is mine to plant, and let the rest unfold in its own timing. 🌱
