White Dial Wednesday
The battery in my black-dialed Tourneau died mid-trip so I had to switch to my minimalist dress watch. Serendipitous since it has a white dial! Of course I was late and didn’t bother to set the date…

So many good recommendations in this thread. I would go Citizen Eco-drive. Something purty that catches my eye, like this…https://www.citizenwatch.com/us/en/product/BM6980-08E.html?cgid=landing-pages

Let me introduce you are to ā€œMayor Wilsonā€, the newest piece to my collection. The watch (Timex Q 1972 Machine Reissue Gold Bracelet Brown Dial Watch) delivery was attempted on Saturday when we were out at my works family Christmas party. That worked out well as it meant Nicole didn’t see it, and still hasn’t as yet. Guess I will se how long untill she notices. The dome on this piece is high and it looks amazing. The Indices all appear to be floating and the tiger eye just beams. SO with the next couple of rays wearing ā€œThe Mayorā€ I will see how this pairs with some of my outfits and how it feels on wrist. Product: TW2Y45200 Watch Movement: Quartz Analog Water Resistance: 50 meters Crystal / Lens: Acrylic Case Diameter: 39 mm Case Height: 15 mm Case Material: Stainless Steel Case Color: Gold Case Finish: Polished Dial Color: Brown Strap / Lug Width: 20 mm Strap Material: Stainless Steel Strap Color: Stainless Steel Strap Buckle: Clasp (Fold-Over) Battery Type: SR626SW

Bringing back the Memories!
I was tagged in a post by @Jesse Alonzo as he was given a watch from his mother that was his step fathers who he was very close with. Thank you @Chad Smith for tagging me. As many of you know at this point, I am a sucker for watches, but I'm super obsessed with Heirloom watches. They do NOT have to be expensive to be heirlooms. They just have to have meaning. I am a very fortunate recipient of several heirloom pieces. Whenever I wear 1 I try to think and more importantly tell stories of the person who entrusted the piece to me. I also try to speak of the original owner whether I have met them or not. I have a couple of watches that were my grandfather's (who passed the day after I was born) who left them or gave as gifts to my father or my uncle as an example. Today WOTD - Rolex Date Just champagne Dial with Jubilee bracelet. This watch belonged to my Father in Law. He wasn't just my father in law, he was my best friend, my business partner and the 1 person who could convince me to get into ANY amount of trouble with him (in a good way). He passed away WAY too you and has been gone 23 years. I still miss him everyday. I have been thinking a lot about him lately as we have been making changes in the business and I believe he is still looking out for me and our family from above. So as I am being approached with opportunities it makes me think of him. So this is how I connect with time and remember those who trusted me with an heirloom piece. He stopped wearing this watch long before he passed as he could see the hands on the dial (of which I constantly ribbed him about 😜). But I wear this watch proudly. I also have the watch that we replaced this with as he felt he could see it better. Hope you all have an amazing day! Let's remember those who have gone before us!!

Class, class, class. And it sounds like your father-in-law embodied that as well. Priceless keepsake.

I like this. It looks like the lug to lug length is compact. More dial; less lug is a winner in my book.
