Hot take: Most people are drinking the wrong wine with their food and have no idea.
And I mean that with love. The rules you were handed weren't written with our food in mind. Mac and cheese deserves better than whatever's open. Bubbles go with almost everything. And please, for the love of god, stop serving red wine warm. What's a pairing you swear by that nobody believes you about?

What are everyone's favorite varietals? Red for me is Pinot Noir. White is Pinot Gris.

Another one is red currant or white currant. Most Americans have never had or seen them in real life so it's not a useful descriptor. Same with capsicum to sound fancy, just say bell pepper.
