Stop borrowing energy from tomorrow. 🛑 (The truth about midlife exhaustion)
I used to think the answer to midlife depletion was just to "try harder." When my energy started to dip, I told myself to eat less, move more, and just push through. And when that didn't work? I did what most of us do—I reached for that third cup of coffee to mask the slump. It completely backfired. Here is what I wish I had known back then, and what your biology is trying to tell you right now: 1. Your "Biological Buffer" Has Changed In midlife, our hormonal shifts mean our body’s ability to buffer cortisol changes. You aren't failing, and you aren't suddenly "lazy"—your body is simply running on an old operating system that no longer works for your current biology. 2. The Caffeine Lie That extra cup of coffee isn't actually giving you energy. It’s borrowing it from tomorrow and digging a deeper metabolic hole. We have to stop relying on stimulation and start focusing on sustenance. When you are already running on empty, adding more grit and more caffeine is like trying to redline an engine that’s completely out of oil. Your body doesn't need more pressure. It needs more support. Let’s Fix the Fuel Source Together ⚡️ We need to stop the "white-knuckling" and build a real biological floor so you can finally bring your vitality back. I’m teaching the exact framework to plug these energy leaks and install your new biological operating system during my live Midlife Energy Reset Master Class on Thursday, May 28th at 7 PM EST. 👉 Register for the Free Master Class Here Comment below: Which one are you relying on more right now to get through the day—sheer willpower, or caffeine? Let's talk about it. 👇

Willpower and a 10 min nap
Happy Easter & Happy Sunday
Whether you are celebrating today or just enjoying a quiet Sunday, remember that holidays are "Unbuffered" days. They cost a little more energy and often shift our structure. My Easter Sunday Rule: Don’t over-leverage yourself. Enjoy the connection, but keep one handrail in place. The 2-Minute Rep: > If today feels "busy," what is your one non-negotiable? - A 10-minute walk after the big meal? - Extra hydration? - 5 minutes of quiet before the guests arrive? Wishing you all a day of renewal and steady floors. 🌿

Stop blaming your willpower. It’s a "Symptom Stack."
Ever feel like you’re failing at consistency by Wednesday? It’s not a character flaw. It’s biology. Most midlife women aren't lazy—they are biologically over-leveraged. When you stack: - 2:00 AM wake-ups (Sleep debt) - Mid-afternoon crashes (Blood sugar spikes) - The "Joy Switch" flipping off (Cortisol overwhelm) ...your brain literally loses the capacity for "discipline." I just broke down exactly how to stop fighting your willpower and start addressing the Stack in my latest article. Read it here: 👉 You Don’t Have a Willpower Problem. You Have a Symptom Stack. Quick Question: Which part of the "stack" is hitting you hardest today? Sleep, sugar, or stress? Drop it below.

@Jennifer Seven easier said than done. Just like motherhood, we've been blamed for all the shifts and changes because our medical system has done all the scientific/medical testing on college aged men, who are vastly different than women at any stage.

Tomorrow I’m recording with Dr. Kajal Roy, MD on hormones and menopause. Comment using this: Stage (guess): peri, meno, post Top symptom:My question for Dr. Roy: If you’re not sure what to ask, start here: “What symptom surprised you most in midlife and why?” I’ll pull questions from this thread into the episode.
