It takes time
Another great one from Steven Pressfield's The War on Art. Everything takes longer than we think and requires consistent pursuit to get there. 'GUILTY AS CHARGED' here. This is something I ha e been reminding myself a lot of latsly so the timing on this was perfect for me. Which brings us back to - what is the focus you are direcring yourself towards?

The writing is not a problem. I can see and hear my characters. My problem and what I am focusing on is structuring my work as a professional and outlining before I start. Now I know I would be lying to myself if I were to believe I wouldn't put pen tp paper until I knew everything about a story, but at least by the 40ish page I should know where the h*ll I'm going with it. LOL. I'm working on a screen play right now and I just finally after 45 pages know why I'm writing it and what the outcome will be. That is, if the Characters don't change their mind in the process.
