Advice for YouTube Entrepreneurs
I had the best time interviewing Alexa this week on my "Entrepreneurs who Work from Home" series. I think you'll love her inspiring insights on how she works her business and her tips on monetization. Thank you Alexa! So enjoyed our time together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqimEb5fF3A

Great Interview @Gale Bates - As @Angela Awed mentioned, the flow is really good. I hope to do interviews someday and this is one I am going to rewatch to learn skills on the process
Tip For You Guys
Hey guys I know I might not be the best person to go to for advice on youtube, but what I noticed is that I have been gaining subscribers slowly but surely. Ive been at youtube now for 4 months and I just lve making videos to be honest. It can be stressful and overwhelming sometimes with all the editing and filming by yourself. Lets not also forget that slow progress is better than no progress right. So for those of you who are on the same goa to build their youtube channel. Just keep going like I mentioned slow progress is better then no progress at all 4 months ago I was at 30 subscribers now 4 months later Im at 250 I would rather have this progress then being stuck at 30 subscribers Lol.

My mistake during the weekly Zoom meeting
Hey Everyone This might sound strange but since I am working on creating a channel around teaching technical stuff, If I find that I made a mistake, I like to own up to it and make the correction. During today's zoom meeting, we had a discussion about lighting, and I chimed in to say the type of light (Rectangular LED light) that Alexa was showing us on screen is a called a "key light" and after a little research, I realized oops! I was wrong! A key light is just the primary source of light in a setup not a particular style or size of light. 😬 Again, no biggie but I wanted to correct my mistake and if I had made and uploaded a video on this topic and found out I was incorrect, I would definitely acknowledge my mistake and fix the video. I have been a fan of Elgato products, and they have these LED Square light with the words key light in the product title and I assumed all these years that that type of light was in fact a key light. 🙄 Research told me otherwise. Still learning here. Now back to your regularly scheduled posts . . .

What I Learned From Today's Live Call
Friday February 14, 2025 1. Alexa demonstrated a little bit of how she uses VID IQ, Tube Buddy and Keywords everywhere. I have dabbled with each of those a little bit but her brief demonstration showed some ways of using them that had not occurred to me. I will be revisiting each of those. 2. Alexa demonstrated her use of YouTube search with running through the alphabet after typing in the base search term. I have seen that before and tried it a little bit but this has re-stirred my interest in that. I have it in mind to go back to some of my prior videos that I thought should do better and see if I can refine the title, tags & hashtags and see if that revitalizes them. 3. Alexa demonstrated using chat GPT for keyword rich descriptions. I use copilot a lot for refining my descriptions but had never occurred to me to do the keyword rich descriptions. Will be trying that out. 4. The question came up during the session about what is the difference between keywords, hashtags and tags. LOL I Started to ask co-pilot that question just before Alexa asked ChatGPT that question. My understanding of it now in my own words is that keywords whether it's a single word or a few words describes the content of your video. Keywords can be used in hashtags in the description of your video simply by preceding the keywords with the # symbol. Keywords can also be used in the tags section of an uploaded video or a live stream. Hashtags in a description are clickable and will produce a search of other videos that have included the same hashtag. This means Viewers of other videos Might click on the hashtag which would produce a search of videos that would include your video that uses the hashtag. Tags on a video help YouTube understand what the video is about so that the algorithm can offer your video to people it thinks would be interested.
