Preserve teaching material
I'm really sorry to hear that Dave has decided to shut down the Skool, although the reasons are comprehensible. Is there any chance to preserve the teaching material, the classes, videos, links? Thanks for all the efforts!

Hi everyone, Robert from Germany. I have been working in the space industry for 17 years. My background is satellite engineering, space propulsion systems in particular. I’ve come to realise the enormous impact that the latest advances in AI are soon going to have on all of us. I am a beginner in all these software topics, but I am very interested in getting familiar and eventually proficient in the fields of AI, related software engineering and Data analysis. Very glad to be here!

@Brandon Phillips Certainly, it will bring similar benefits as in other industires, e.g. by allowing easy and quick assessments of concepts, feasibility studies and rapid modelling in the pre-development. Things that would usually take weeks can be achieved in hours or a day. Knowledge management by an AI within a company is probably one of the easiest tasks to be implemented in the near future. I am particularly excited about the prospect of having a LLM specifically trained on space propulsion knowledge, and then using it to investigate propulsion concepts for a certian mission scenario. Furthermore, AI will be used to improve and elevate the so called downstream services, i.e. the processing and interpretation of the satellite data, e.g. from Earth observation. The potential is enormous.

While – as most of us here – I do fully share the enthusiasm and excitement about all the new possibilities, I am at the same time very worried about all the potential negative impact that AI might and will have on society, especially considering the speed, wt which the tools are being developed and published. Generative AI can and will be used for all kinds of bad things, unfortunately. The sooner we get everyone educated and familiar with what this technology is and how it can be used, the more we can help reduce the risk of people being fooled, discriminated, or even made obsolete by the use (or misuse) of AI. In this context, many thanks to Dave for setting this community up and providing all the learning resources for free!

I realised that I didn't spell out the two words that come to my mind. These are certainly: Potential and Risk!
