Sat in the car, head torch at the ready, absolutely knackered 😂 @James Bolding has decided that getting out of bed was optional this morning, so he won’t be here for a bit 🤦♂️🤣 Anyway… we’re here. Time to see what we can find 👀💰 LET’S GET IT 🙌🔥 Anyone else out sourcing this morning?!

@Luke Warder Hard work 😅 I did two, one Saturday and one Sunday. Saturday in Bristol you get one hour of madness but people want something for nothing however most of it was bits and pieces I'd got in bundles I won't put online and I wanted gone so happy to get some cash back, Sunday not as busy but did about £200 across both days, not amazing but it puts a little back in kitty for buying funds. I think I enjoyed people watching more than the selling, some proper funny characters turn up at boot sales.

Excited to be part of this group
Hi everyone, I'm Rob. I've bought and sold on and off over the years. My first business was at 16, selling mobile phone covers on a market stall back in the Nokia 3210 days (showing my age!). I've also bought dead stock on eBay over the years, and I used to be a cameraman at Sit Up TV (Bid Up TV/Price Drop), if anyone remembers those channels, so I've seen the live-selling world from the other side too. These days I run my own business full-time and I'm looking to grow my reselling business alongside it. I got back from Cheddar Car Boot this morning and thought it was a good time to join the community. Looking forward to learning from everyone and hopefully contributing where I can!

@Pamela Powell I do that a lot, so no worries. Yes some of the things we sold 🤦🏻 my aunt was always buying from our channels, I think she helped keep us in business 🤣

Carboots?
Completely feed up with the local car boot sales, 75% are the same traders every week selling the same tat they couldn't sell last week.... So how far do you travel to your favorite one? Tring to justify to myself the 120 mile round trip to i believe Scotlands biggest carboot.

I’ve found this myself and tried to mix it up so I’m trying different ones. A couple of weeks ago I did 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday, but I’ve found you get one weekend can be amazing another nothing. I’ve tried going further afield by working it into a trip - visiting family, other work so it feels like it justifies the travel. I think what Sarah said as well adding in charity shops in same location could work and even networking, meeting other resellers, really make the most of the trip if it’s longer distance.
