How I got Monetized in 6 months
I recently got approved for the YPP and had been asked to outline my experience, strategies, and ways I've stayed consistent. So here goes for anyone who wants a deeper look. **Disclaimer, you won't find any cheat codes or hacks or ez-mode here so if that's your vibe, sorry in advance to disappoint** Here are the highlights: - Commit to a process, not to outcomes (my process was 2x videos per week) 4 of the 6 months I was working a 9-5 so I had to sacrifice a lot other things to fit in my 2 videos while working full time. I'm up to 50 videos total at this point, all long-form, no shorts. - Network and make friends. If you're reading this it means you've taken steps to build a network and that's awesome. Keep finding peers mentors and coaches. You'll learn from them, and they'll support you. (I found friends on Skool and set up private calls to collaborate and be sounding boards for each other) - Experiment often. If applicable, change up your video format/style, test out a teleprompter, bullets, word-for-word, or no script at all. Walk and Talk, screen-share. Try all the things, it'll build experience, flex your creativity, and help you find what works best. - Keep learning and researching. There's a lot of free stuff on YT, sometimes it's hard to know what's worth listening to. But do it anyway, invest in yourself and your skills, and start to develop more swagger and confidence, and competence which is what attracts viewers/supporters.
