Joining this community came at the perfect time for me. I started using Claude Code as my Executive Assistant around a month a go after watching a Nate Herk video. The Project went from strength to strength as I added skills like the daily-brief, a marketing system, AEO Article writer skill etc. My productivity went through the roof, I was so excited. Then it seemed to start messing around getting things wrong and using bundles of tokens. I suspected it was the file structure and messy and instructions that weren't being interpreted correctly. Then, TaDa!! I watch the 3 level system video, everything clicked and I got to work on Claude Code restructuring the file system to a more visually appealing for me and a more streamlined effective system for Claude code. Well , thats the hope, I haven't worked with it yet so time will tell but I wanted to share how I set the file structure up and my reasons behind it. Something about Paperclip grabbed my interest but I didn't want a full company structure or a fully automated flow. Not right yet anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if Anthropic releases automation features more than scheduled tasks soon and like Jake says don't build something that will become a free feature tomorrow. I did want departments though, so I ended up with a sort of company structure with top level folders for: client-delivery daily-operations finance marketing and sales in each top level folder are folders for relevant projects and skills and claude.md is a sort of orchestrator invoking the correct skills in the correct foldes when needed. The system so far has 27 skills and the superpowers plugin installed. I've attached a pdf if you want to see the file structure and the restructure process.
