Let's : LIGHTen UP our world 🌟 ~ ErHELLEN wir unsere Welt 🌟
"ALWAYS LEAVE THINGS CLEANER THAN YOU FIND THEM" Immer hinterlasse die Dinge sauberer, als du sie vorgefunden hast. 🧡 Today I'm grateful for my dear German mom . This simple phrase still rings in my head from childhood that she taught me : "Leave things cleaner than you find them." Now it runs subconsciously—wiping counters, picking up stray napkins, straightening chairs for the next person. ( What childhood phrase run through your mind ? ~ do any need embracing or replacing ?) My parents have been in heaven over 30 years. We almost all died together in a car accident when I was five, so gratitude runs deep. They left us early, but left us with so much. Mom focused on the "without"—physical spaces, kindness to strangers. Dad left people feeling spiritually cleaner—the "within." Together they showed me: we can clean a room AND cleanse a spirit. It's all connected. So here's my question: How do you practice taking care of spaces around you (the "without") AND the energy within you and others (the "within")? 👇 💛 A German proverb captures this same spirit: 🇺🇸 "Let each sweep in front of his own door, and the whole world will be clean." – Goethe 🇩🇪 "Jeder kehre vor seiner eigenen Tür, dann ist die ganze Welt sauber." – Goethe When we tend our own corner—inside and out—the whole world gets brighter. 🌍✨ And finally: 🇺🇸 "May we leave signs of Jesus' kindness, truth & grace in every place and on every face!" ~ love't*ruth 🇩🇪 "Mögen wir überall, wo wir sind und auf jedem Gesicht, das wir treffen, Spuren von Jesu Freundlichkeit, Wahrheit und Gnade hinterlassen!" ~ love't*ruth From our parents to old German wisdom to the greatest example—may we leave every place and every person cleaner, lighter, and more loved. 🙏✨ Got a story to share or a GERMAN PHRASE you have learned or from YOUR mother tongue ? @Emma Fábryová @Hamza Glam @Kai Cerar @Kelly Miller
