Weekly language learning call is happening in 5 days
Accountability Post – One Week Later 🇩🇪📚
More than a week ago I shared an accountability post and committed to improving my German a little every day. Today is my small accountability check-in. Consistency really does make a difference. Over the past seven days, I focused on learning and practicing some more advanced German vocabulary. Here are a few words that stood out: - Durchhaltevermögen – perseverance, the strength to keep going despite difficulties - Gelassenheit – calmness and composure, especially in stressful situations - Vorausschauend – forward-thinking, planning with the future in mind - Selbstbewusstsein – self-confidence and self-awareness - Entschlossenheit – determination and decisiveness - Weiterentwicklung – continuous development and improvement What I’m realising is that language learning is not only about memorizing words - it’s about shaping the way we think and communicate. One week down, many more to go. Step by step, progress happens. 💪 How did you grow or learn something new this week? 🚀

TOGETHER or UNITED ⁉️
🇺🇸 TOGETHER WE RISE!! 🇩🇪 GEMEINSAM STEIGEN WIR AUF!! --- 😂 JOKE #1 (English) Why did the bread go to the therapist? Because it had too many RISING issues! (Auf Deutsch) Warum ist das Brot zum Therapeuten gegangen? Weil es zu viele Aufgeh-... äh, warte... because it had too many rising issues! (Okay, that one doesn't work in German! The wordplay only works in English. But here's the literal translation: Warum ist das Brot zum Therapeuten gegangen? Weil es zu viele **Aufgeh-Probleme** hatte! *(Still doesn't really make sense in German - some jokes just don't travel well!)* --- 😂 JOKE #2 (German & English) 🇩🇪 Auf Deutsch: Fragt der Bäcker den anderen: "Warst du gestern Abend etwa schon um acht im Bett?" Antwortet der andere: "Ja, wieso?" Sagt der erste: "Weil deine Brötchen heute Morgen so früh aufgegan gensind!" 🇺🇸 In English: Baker 1: "Were you already in bed by eight last night?" Baker 2: "Yes, why?" Baker 1: "Because your bread rolls rose so early this morning!" --- 📚 GERMAN LESSON (This was new to me & a GREAT LESSON!) Why use GEMEINSAM instead of ZUSAMMEN? - Zusammen = Simply being together in the same place (physically together). - Gemeinsam = Doing something *as a team*, sharing a goal, united in action. Since we are rising and achieving together as one unit, GEMEINSAM is the stronger, more powerful choice! Let's keep rising! 🚀 @Kai Cerar @Emma Fábryová @Hamza Glam @Kelly Miller

A few personal thoughts on motivation
@Kai Cerar @Ruth aka Grace Rose @Emma Fábryová What personally motivates me to keep going are the small improvements I make every day. It’s important to mention that at the beginning, I didn’t make any extraordinary progress. But with consistency and determination, I’ve noticed real improvements over time. I can’t exactly estimate how many minutes or hours I invest in my learning process. What I do know for sure is this: learning makes me happy, and it has become a fixed part of my daily routine. To stay motivated, I compare myself to where I was a year ago. That helps me imagine where my level could be in another year if I keep going. In this way, I’d like to encourage you to keep going and never give up 😇 And what about you? What helps you stay motivated when things feel hard? Please share your thoughts in the comments 🙏 Thank you!

He just grew better. Because I walked with him, I learned to walk wisely. 🙏 "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise." — Proverbs 13:20 The bottom line: Does my character and manner—my actions—bring out the nobleness in others? 🇩🇪 GERMAN WORT DES TAGES: EDEL "Sei edel!
