Games with a difficult “in”
Which games hide their greatness behind either a high initial difficulty level, unintuitive control or complexity meaning somebody who played the game for 5 mins (especially if they had no instructions) would dismiss it as a bad or average game not giving it chance for its strengths to shine through? I know @Phil Wheatley mentioned Wizball in his latest Zzap review video as an example of game that would be easy to give up on when you are just bouncing around until after you get the first couple of power ups it’s true genius shines through! A game I recently got an original copy of was New York City and I’ve had this game for years not knowing what to do and now I have the instructions and know what to do it’s a fun little game. Any other games you can think of that people should invest time that have that difficult initial “in”?

Infiltrator has a very high learning curve, learning to fly the helicopter is a pain! But it's worth it.
Commodore 1901 monitor
Does anyone else own one of these? I recently picked this up locally for the bargain price of £30. I’d not heard of it before and only bought it after a 1701 monitor I had bought fell through. After a bit of research found out it was released for use with the C128 but works fine with the 64 using Luma/Chroma. I’m really pleased with it and goes well with my C64G.

I had the same thing, but it had the Magnavox branding... (Which I believe Magnavox produced a lot of the Commodore monitors) That brings back memories of me playing Pirates, Wings, and Midwinter on my Amiga 500 with that monitor. :-)
Game(s) with Best Sound Effects
Not music just sound effects... Maniac Mansion comes to mind - the footsteps, the grandfather clock, etc. Also Impossible Mission, the robots, the elevator, the footsteps in the hall, etc. Agent USA has some great sound effects too - the sound of people getting turned into "fuzz bodies", crystals growing, and the trains arriving and leaving.

Any love for Microprose
These "games" were really a cut above the rest. This is my small collection (would love to get Pirates!!!). Which is your favourite of the Microprose games? Mine is Gunship but I love them all!

Pirates is probably the game that I've played the most of out of any video game across its many different releases (original, Gold and 2004 Remake) and platforms.

@Phil Wheatley I just looked up prices and original boxed copies are going for around $100 USD - I'm glad I picked up mine a few years ago (for around $40 USD I think).
Oddest Title Screen
The title screen for Taito's Qix has nothing to do with the game. (Which makes it look like the Qix virus is invading a town)
