Question before I do final assembly
The top end was rebuilt new spring rockers and valves stock push rods new oil pump. I have to set valve lash and prime the oil system. What is the best way to ensure oil is were it needs to be. Tips and tricks to prime the oil. Also is there a way to test the oil cooler or am I better off buying a new one.

alright thanks I’ll see if I have the old oil pump laying around. I just know it sat for a bit before I redid the top end

These are my crew cabs. 81 and 84. Both are getting 12valves. Rob has pointed me in the right direction on a few questions I’ve had and invited me to join the group. Looking forward to learning and picking up any info from you guys as these get built. I’ve gotten burnt a few times at a few shops so why not figure it out myself.
