I raised my UGC rates to €450/video… and lost a lot of clients.
I charge €450 for 1 UGC video now… and that honestly used to scare me SO much 😭 When I started UGC, I charged €100 per video. Then €150. Then €200. Then €250. Then €300. And every single time I wanted to raise my rates, I had this fear of: “What if brands stop working with me?” But over the past few years, I’ve grown SO much as a creator. My videos got better. my editing got better. I understand marketing way more now. I know how to create content that actually converts. I’ve worked with big brands. I get consistent inbound requests. And honestly… I’m fully booked a lot of the time. At one point I realised I can’t keep growing by just taking on more work. There are only so many videos I can film, edit, revise, and deliver in a week before I completely burn myself out 😅 So the only thing that really made sense anymore was increasing my rates. And yes… that did mean losing some clients. Some brands that loved working with me at €200 suddenly thought I was “too expensive” at €450. But at the exact same time, new brands came in that literally didn’t even question the price. That was such a mindset shift for me. not every client is meant to stay with you forever as you grow. And sometimes raising your rates is exactly what helps you attract the clients that actually match the level you’re at now. Also I’m not sharing this to say everyone should charge €450. This is just where I’m currently at after years of building experience, improving my skills, and learning the industry. But I do hope it encourages some of you to stop undercharging yourselves 🤍 👇What’s your current starting rate for 1 UGC video?
