Coaching Mistakes to Avoid
4 mistakes to avoid as a coach: 1) Judging your client 2) Leaving things unsaid 3) Giving too much advice 4) Trying to be someone you're not What would you add?

Talking more than the client. While it's not a hard rule, if you catch yourself talking more than them, it's a sign you may be getting carried away and not coaching, as so much as you are teaching.
HVG and Ad Run, what I learned about my HVG(PDF)...
I did my 1st FB Ad a couple of weeks ago. I got 8 leads and 2 bookings from following the COA system. Not a horrible start... What I learned though, in conversing with a potential lead via email, is that my ad and PDF may have been slightly or, are, slightly out of alignment. I say this because the potential client clicked my ad and downloaded my PDF. However, after conversing via email I realized he probably didn't book a Free Strategy Session because of my PDF, not being in alignment with my Ad correctly. I came to this conclusion by reflecting on the potential client's response in an email and reviewing my PDF in reflection of the response. He said nothing negative, although I realized in reflection, that my PDF has been more aligned to those individuals in actual active addiction as opposed to active recovery. So even though my PDF initially, to me, looked like it made sense. I came to realize in paying more attention to why maybe that potential client went away. Considering his words and my PDF; I see that I need to change my PDF to be more direct to my niche. So I am out of alignment in my message somewhat, reflecting on what I observed. Right now before I run my next ad.... Just thought I'd share this with everyone, as we move forward in the course, etc...

That's some really great reflection! Will definitely keep this in mind for the future.
NEW! πŸ‘‹πŸ»
Hey beautiful people. I just joined the community today. A brief introduction: I'm a 23-year-old living in the Netherlands who discovered he has a deep passion for helping people solve their burning problems. πŸ”₯ I have coached some people in my home country, but I want to expand it to an international level. 🌍 Besides that I'd love to connect with like-minded people and learn from the best in the field. 🧠 This seems the perfect opportunity. I'm curious, what's the one thing you value most out of this community❓️

@Martha Acevedo Thanks for sharing this! I'm new too so stumbling onto your comment was great help!
What are some questions to help open up less coachable people?
Hi everyone, I work with trades and home service professionals. I often come across people in this field who are just so stubborn and hate change ( have been running their business the same way for 15 years without much growth because they won't accept help or think they know best) What are some questions I can ask to help open these types of people up and gently make them realize that they don't know everything and being open to coaching could change their lives? I just want to help these people so badly, but it sometimes feels like I'm slamming my head against the wall. Thanks!

Spend more time building rapport. I find people are much more open to talking once the pressure of "talking to a coach" is off. Even if that means for the first 20 minutes you don't even broach the target subject, you have made progress! You've knocked down the first wall that would have prevented progress.
Advice please! What is the best approach to the course?
Hello everyone! I've just got here and completed the "start here" series in the classroom. I see a lot of posts on here about how quickly people completed the training. Is this really the best approach? Is it better to smash through it all and review if required, or take it slow and make sure you have a solid grasp of each bit before moving on? Thanks for your advice! πŸ€™
