Check In All Cohorts!
Recently came to the realization I do not have a space for all the cohorts present in this community, I need every cohort to check in here and please give me the full date including year of your cohort! I may have to add the year to tabs so that we can all have a place to connect with our fellow classmates, Goodmorning guys ! ☀️😎

Microsoft 365
Is anyone else running into problems when they try to sign up for the Microsoft 365 student account? I put my email in and it says account not allowed.

Student Emails
These student emails can help us in so many different ways. I have been doing my research! Make sure you guys use them and get every discount and benefit that is offered to you! Here are 3 websites that offer student discounts on a variety of things: 1. UNiDAYS 2. Student Beans 3. SheerID UNiDAYS and Student Beans have worked fine for me so far. You will have to email Student Beans when they do the verification, though, because our school doesn't show in their system yet. - Microsoft 365 (FREE) → Word, Excel, PowerPoint - GitHub Student Developer Pack → $1000+ value - Canva Pro (FREE) → branding, ads, product images - Notion Pro (FREE) → organize your business - JetBrains / coding tools (FREE) if you go tech Apparently, all these are free for students too! ☝️ This is amazing because we really have the opportunity to save so much money and start businesses NOW!

Week one discussion for Business
So the prompt is as follows, Describe a situation where solving one person’s problem made things harder for someone else. How should an early founder or manager decide value claims to prioritize? This is an excellent discussion topic for the first week given the MGMT 101 topics for week one! I’m glad to see they have it tailored to the week and it’s not something barely touching the coursework and asking us to tie it all into our learning materials. For anyone else who may be in the business pathway do you have anything you’ve felt was difficult to learn so far? Or has everything felt like common sense? Personally all my MANY years of customer service experience have made these first lessons feel easier.

My husband and I are in that pathway. We both felt that it was a simple first week and have both already started week two. I will say on my part it was plentiful in things I already knew and things I did not. I took about 6 pages of notes on week one itself. The hardest part I would say was the discussion board. I have been running my own business for a few years and have been slowly building it from the ground up. I could have actually used my own business experience in the response which looking back may have actually been better then the one I did use. I am sure as time does move it may get tricker. I also loved how they broke everything down in a great way with the videos and even watched part one on YouTube since they started on part 2. It is refreshing how week one was business themed and not the normal general education courses.

@Bethany Cuevas did you know that you can also have it tailored to what makes sense for your learning style or topic you want to focus on. I am having it use my business for the scenarios and it helps me think on what I have done and what can be done differently. Definitely puts the learning into a tailored fit.
The beginning.
Well, I got into my courses and I started doing it, and I'm about halfway through so we'll see how this works out. So far, it's just formatting Problems that I'm running into, all the devil in the details. But I'm enjoying it I hope everyone is doing well.

I will say this teaching is refreshing. I have it tailored to my business since I am in the business track and honestly I may have even started to use some of the skills that were taught. I can say i do not have a regret going back to school, except that I was not in the first sessions.
