Good morning Gentlemen, The other day I was looking at the mapping on this community. There are some amazing people all over and there are some that are close to each other. I know for me, I consider all of you my friends and bothers in this community. I enjoy reading the comments and the responses from everyone on different things. But what I do notice and wander, how many of us really know each other? How many of you know about each other, other than what we read when a person first joins this community? For me there are a couple of people that I have had the pleasure to converse with in messaging. But there was no real depth of conversation. Looking at the mapping, there are many that live close to each other or not too far from each other. I have since messaged some that are close to me in my area to introduce myself and see if we can get together as a group whether it’s for lunch or dinner just to meet and greet and network. This does not have a formal event, or cost a fortune, just to meet up and get to know each other. What better way to represent this community and to bring awareness than for the public to see a group of well dressed men walking into a restaurant and having a meal together. Plus we get to know each other and learn about each other. Discuss the topics that we do on here, share ideas and experiences on a one on one basis. Get to know more about our family, work, hobbies. Listen I know from time to time they host these events Like that last one in Chicago, but for a lot of people it was a distance and expensive. But we can hold ones in the areas we live in and accomplish same thing, but on a smaller and less expensive event. Or maybe a groups of men in the same area get together and have zoom meet and greet, where they can get together in their own homes have a drink, a smoke, or maybe both and just chat and get to know each other and discuss things. The point is we need to start networking within this community in smaller local groups. And if there is no one really close then you still network get to know each other in the group and then you all can plan to meet up in a mutual location that is good for everyone and have a dinner or lunch. Maybe go play a round of golf, go to a casino, a lounge, plan something where you all can get together a couple times a year, maybe every other month at a different location.
