🌹 How to Build a God/Goddess Altar (Self-Love Altar)
Peace & Divine Light, Beautiful Souls ✨ Today, we’re opening a sacred conversation about how to build your own God/Goddess Altar, also known as your Self-Love Altar — a space to honor your divinity, your healing, and your return to self. When I built my first altar about 8 or 9 years ago, my life looked and felt very different. My father was deteriorating and dying, my family had shunned me for almost 15 years, and I didn’t have any real friends who truly cared about me. I was carrying so much grief, betrayal, and loneliness that I didn’t even realize I was being guided toward healing. Out of that darkness, I created light. My first altar was in my closet — because I was afraid of being judged, and it was the only place I knew I could hide and just be. That small space became my sanctuary. It was where I could cry, pray, and remember who I was beneath all the pain. As time passed, something powerful happened. That tiny altar became a mirror of my growth — a reflection of my transformation. My children would come sit with me while I meditated, not realizing they were absorbing peace, love, and spiritual connection just by being near. If you’re ready to start your own, you don’t need much. Begin simply: 🕯️ A white pillowcase for your altar cloth. 🕯️ A white candle from the dollar store. That single candle alone represents all five elements — Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. It’s a reminder that even in simplicity, you hold everything you need to begin. 🌿💫 I’ll be sharing a photo of my current altar once I finish redoing it — along with a photo of my very first one, so you can see how my practice and spirit have evolved. Now, I’d love to hear from you: Have you ever built an altar before? What does “sacred space” mean to you? If not, what’s holding you back? Let’s share, learn, and grow together. There’s no right or wrong way to connect with the Divine — only your way. With Love & Blessings, Honey 🐝 “Your altar is not just a space — it’s a conversation with your soul.”
