PSA on ClawdBot - it’s not Claude.
It’s not Claude. Maybe it’s more of an Claude wrapper? I dunno. Lot of hype all of the sudden. And IMO it’s more hype and distraction. Maybe it’s useful in some ways but if you’re not technical - I wouldn’t waste time with it right now. Seems a bit suspect to have this much hype so fast around basically what you could already do if you knew how to set these agents up before. via Slack, WhatsApp etc. I don’t see it being a huge thing for what I am working on right now. I’ll see how it goes over the next few weeks. “Do I really need this or am I making the work I’m doing more complicated” If people pushing this on your feed are really saying this is your AI assistant that finally replaced a human 40 hour a week assistant, they are likely lying to you. Or they absolutely suck at hiring and delegating. lol. Maybe they aren’t. Maybe this changes everything and now everything you’ve used AI for ever in all of your life is obsolete. DOUBTFUL. JUST MY 2 cents. A lot of what I’ve seen people sharing with this can be done literally with Claude and Claude code and now Cowork. There are levels to this. Yes there’s benefit to having it run on a machine by itself for some privacy. There’s always ways to complicate things that don’t need to be complicated and I think the majority of people could get on just fine with the Claude implementation still - Maybe I’m way off and stupid for not jumping on this but the reality is I’m not trying to sell you a biz opp and that seems to be what all the hype is around. At least that’s what has flooded my LinkedIn and I don’t really see the difference in this other than it making more non-technical people running companies finally seeing that AI agents are being more useful. If you’re locked in with Claude, Cowork, Skills and even Code, and you want to figure the is out, don’t let me slow you down. I could be wrong but I’m not going to be covering it in any detail on our next calls. Will see how things play out with this but I’m not going to be posting much about it for the time being.

A notable advantage of ClawdBot is its ability to switch to more affordable yet comparable models like Opus 4.5. Zhipu.ai claims their GLM 4.7 model is comparable to Opus 4.5 while offering 3 times more credits and being 3 times cheaper, making it just 1/6th the price of the Claude $200 Max Plan.

Hey @Darby Rollins 👋 Really appreciate this perspective - it's exactly the kind of grounded thinking we need when everyone's hyping the "next big thing." Your post made me curious enough to do a quick deep-dive comparison between ClawdBot 🦞 and CoWork, and honestly... you're right that there's overlap. BUT (and this is a meaningful but) - they're solving fundamentally different problems. Here's what stood out to me: 1. Persistent Memory & Learning 🧠 ClawdBot 🦞 remembers context across days/weeks. Like, if you're managing a multi-day project (say, clearing 10K emails or ongoing client research), it picks up exactly where you left off. CoWork starts fresh every session - you're re-explaining things each time. 2. Autonomous Operation 🤖 This is the game-changer for me: ClawdBot 🦞 can work WITHOUT constant instruction. Morning briefings at 6 AM, monitoring your inbox autonomously, reaching out proactively. CoWork only works when you explicitly ask it to. 3. Accessibility 📱 ClawdBot 🦞 works across WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, iMessage - anywhere you already are. CoWork needs you at your Mac with the desktop app open. You're 100% right that: - It requires technical setup (though the Discord community is super helpful) - For discrete file tasks, CoWork is simpler and faster - There's definitely hype that needs to settle But here's the thing: For strategic workflows where context matters over time, and you want an AI that takes initiative rather than waits for orders - that's where ClawdBot 🦞 shines differently than CoWork. My take: They're complementary, not competing. You're clearly locked into the Claude ecosystem (as you should be - it's fantastic), but I'd encourage you to keep ClawdBot 🦞 on your radar as it matures. The persistent memory + autonomous capabilities could be powerful for agency operations or long-running strategic work. That said - totally respect focusing on Claude for now. Sometimes the best move is mastering what you have before chasing shiny objects. 🎯
Claude Cowork & Skills - Mastery Continued in February?
Claude and all things Claude are so great, but I think the Skills that can now be combo’d with Cowork have near infinite potential to unlock. Implement Skills + Connectors the Cowork & Claude Code when it makes sense, it’s insane what you can do. Therefore, I believe we should maintain the focus in February with our Claude Mastery Sprint Series and begin combining Claude with platforms like Google’s Gemini and NotebookLM for starters, to continue leveling up our AI Architect & Operator skills as humans. Normal people don’t get it. But you probably do, and if you don’t but you want to, you’re ahead of the curve already. Who’s locked IN to continue our deep dive with Claude in February? ***Edit: I was thinking of what we should call this as a theme, and since we’ve also been chatting about literally coworking, as part of our members benefits, and Claude Cowork…and skills…. Dibs on calling this: Claude Mastery: Cowork & Skills 🤝 I’m considering running this now as a 6 week cohort sprint that would start officially the 2nd week of Feb and end mid March - with a weekend AI Hackathon at the end of Feb where we dig into writing books and building automations to support our biz ops, sales and marketing during a heads down weekend. I’ll host part of this in person, and have a virtual session planned for this if we roll with it. COWORK AND SKILLS 🙏
