The hidden risk in back to back breeding of dogs needing c-sections
Whilst C-Sections can be life saving for both mother and puppies, repeated back to back breeding in dogs that depend on surgical delivery carries serious risks: 🔴 Health risks to the mother 📍Major strain on the uterus and abdominal muscles 📍Increased surgical risks with each c-section (bleeding, infection. Anaesthetic complications) 📍Higher chance of uterine rupture or scar tissue complication’s 📍Long term decline in reproduction and overall health 🔴 Risks to Puppies 📍Premature or weak litters if the mothers body has not fully healed 📍Increased risk of still births or neonatal loss 🔴 Welfare concerns 📍 Mothers do not get the recovery time they need between pregnancies 📍Reduced quality of life and shortened lifespan 💡 Best practice: Ethical breeders give dogs ample time to recover between litters and in breeders where CSection are common they limit the number of surgeries in a lifetime and give a minimum of 12 months recovery between litters. Responsible breeding always puts the health and wellbeing of the mother first. Breed responsible ❤️

100% - This is why I believe if all breeders were council licensed or governed by their allocated governing body the rules are clearly stated and their would be removal of their license if they broke the rules. For me with @thegvpclub it’s play by the rules or don’t play. 👌
A must have in your Whelping kit
Breeder top tip: This morning I have been reminded of the ultimate tool in your breeding kit. A WHELPING buddy. Whelping is incredibly stressful and I know breeders will relate when I say with each whelp you want to give up because it is so tough and we go through many emotions but like with childbirth after we forget and concerntrate on raising beautiful pups by supporting mums. Rachel Gascoyne-Day reminded me this morning that we are each others Whelping buddies and with some words of encouragement and support we get through it. Breeders, support one another and create a bond through your love and it will carry you through anything. This is what this community is about it is your breeding buddy so even when you are feeling low, tired and just about to give up, rely on this community. To admit you are struggling dosent mean you are a terrible breeder, it means you are human and if we all were true to ourselves then we would all agree we go through these emotional times. Let’s do it together and self preserve

My wingwoman, my soul sister. Together we are better and I’m so thankful we met. It’s been a tough few days but we are now through the worst and puppies gaining weight. On the plus side I’ve added another vital skill to my breeding kennels 💕
Over and under
I see this a lot with breeders and it’s absolutely destroying your business Be strong with your product message Be clear on your offer Create a supportive communtiy

This is why @thegvpclub have built a strong community our GVP Family is our community. Our reputation in the industry is everything. It’s paying off as I’m exporting to Palm Beach end October. Their exact words were I don’t trust any other breeder and I have spoken to many - hence why I’m coming to UK and The GVP Club ☺️
