I’ve always struggled with hitting publish. This time was no different. I recorded a video about the benefits of daydreaming—how it’s actually good for your brain, especially for people like me who tend to drift off into their own world. For me, daydreaming has always been a way to cope when I’m overwhelmed. But the process wasn’t smooth. Editing was a pain, and just as I started making progress, I got hit with the flu and was out for 10 days. By the time I recovered, I couldn’t even remember where I’d left off. Normally, I would’ve scrapped the whole thing. Instead, I decided to give it one last watch and upload it. To my surprise, it ended up being my most-viewed video in 24 hours. Sometimes, pushing through the resistance pays off. If you feel guided to watch, here's the video: https://youtu.be/9ioqxjDMhYk p.s. Fun Fact: the average person spends 47% of their waking hours daydreaming. Who knew!? ✨

@Caroline Rushforth Oh, I used to get scolded for it all the time as a kid. Now, I get to tell my nephews to get out there and daydream.
The elephant in the room
I’ve been struggling with something lately. I don’t have any desire to stir up a debate about politics but I feel it has been hanging over my channel. Like me, I’m sure many (at least here in the US) are afraid of mentioning it for fear of losing many of our subscribers, but never in my 69 years have I seen so much division in this country. I feel like something very deep and dark is brewing. I have friends and family I talk with who are stressed and scared. I have a daughter, married to a wonderful man who works for the US State Department and with five young grandkids, that are fearful that even with his years of exemplary service and his fluency in many languages who could find himself out of work. I feel uncomfortable trying to put on a happy face and promote a product or just try to be entertaining, without addressing those fears. And frankly, I have had less engagement with my videos lately. Could it be due to that tension (either my own or from the viewers)? Again without debates, do any of you struggle with similar issues?

I felt myself getting stuck as I felt a lot of division but I know that the only thing I can do for myself is work on myself, my own 4 walls, so to speak, and just keep doing the best I can. I really have to limit myself from all the noise (with news, social media, etc.) and I find that when I take action on what I want to achieve, the world doesn't feel as heavy. I hope the heaviness lifts for you I keep this quote at my desk: ~ ā€œI can do nothing for you but work on myself...you can do nothing for me but work on yourself!ā€ Ram Dass
Finally posted the first video after quitting my 9-5!
Delayed the video creation for more then a week as I was finding issues, fixing them only to find more issues ;) But now its enough, I know the video could be better but perfectionism is just holding me in place... I will get better with each video, just need to work on consistency for now!

Great video, Tomasz! I understand the perfectionism that can hold us back. I loved the excitement in the beginning of starting a new adventure! How exciting!

Hey Liam! Welcome to the group! I'm a little new here myself. I have to say this is one of the most welcoming groups out there!
Hi everyone!
My name is Rachel, and I’m 54 years old. I’m so happy to be part of this community. In my previous career, I owned a yoga studio and have been teaching yoga, meditation, and energy work since 2004. These practices have been a cornerstone of my journey, and I love sharing their transformative power with others. Now, I create YouTube videos for empaths and sensitive people, helping them develop and trust their intuition. It’s incredibly fulfilling work, but I’ll admit my biggest challenge is pressing "publish." While I’m pushing through that fear, it can feel overwhelming at times. Thank you for the space to share and connect!
