🎶The Power of Music🎶
🎵 Music as Medicine — What Songs Have Healed You? I wanted to share a few songs that have deeply supported my healing journey — especially through times of emotional release and self-connection: - “Flowers to Mystic” – Malka Russell - “The Great Return to Love” – Malka Russell - “Hey Child” – Malka Russell These tracks opened something in me — softened the walls, let emotion rise, and helped me reconnect with parts of myself I thought were gone. I’d love to ask the group:👉 What songs have helped you heal, grow, or soften?👉 Is there one track you return to again and again? Music holds memory. It holds emotion. And sometimes — it holds the pieces of us we are still learning to love. I’d love to hear your medicine songs 🎶💛

That’s beautifully said — and I relate so much. Sometimes it isn’t the words at all… it’s the shape of the sound and the way it moves through the body. Classical music has such a powerful effect because many compositions were written in naturally harmonic frequencies — some even close to Solfeggio tones. They engage the nervous system in a way that words can’t. It’s like the music speaks directly to the cells. I find the same at night — instrumentals, solfeggio tones or even nature sounds help the mind soften so the body can finally rest. It’s like a reset button for the spirit.

@Kenya Moses I’ve actually put together a free Solfeggio frequency course and I’m starting to share it gently with people who are interested. If you ever fancy taking a look or giving any feedback, I’d love your thoughts! No pressure at all — just an open invite.

A conversation starter of questions to get to know everyone
- What do you feel music does to the body?– Emotionally, physically, or energetically. - Do you use music or specific frequencies to regulate mood or focus?– If yes, which ones work best for you? - Which instruments or sounds feel most therapeutic to you — and why? - Have you ever felt a physical shift (tingling, calm, clarity, tears, energy) while listening to a certain song or sound? - What role do you think sound/music will play in future wellbeing– Can it become a form of medicine? - Do you believe every frequency carries a message? If so, what do you think the body understands that the mind cannot? - What’s a song, sound or instrument that feels like ‘home’ to you?

@Channing Mack That sounds amazing — a bluesy swing style must carry so much personality and emotion. It’s beautiful how your playing has evolved over time, shaped by different bands, influences and experiences. Music really does grow with us, doesn’t it? Almost like it reflects each season of life we move through. I’d love to hear a piece of your playing someday — especially how that bluesy swing flavour expresses itself through the sax. Do you feel your current style mirrors who you are now? do you have a link to your music?

@Channing Mack That sounds perfect — your personality coming through your sound is exactly what makes it yours. A laid-back style with heart behind it can be incredibly powerful. I’ll definitely check out the practice posts and challenges — that’s such a great way to grow while keeping it fun. And the dream of recording an album one day? I think you should absolutely go for it. Even just beginning with one track… or capturing a live practice session… could be the spark. Sometimes creativity moves when we simply press record and allow it to speak. If it’s coming from the heart, it will land where it’s meant to. I’d love to hear your “atmospheric-tail” style come to life someday.
