Clara helped me simplify
I was about to create a new freebie. I had the idea. The purpose. The audience. And then I paused. I am building and launching a programme this month. This week, I am opening conversations around it. Creating something new would have felt productive. But it would have divided my attention. So instead of asking what else I could add, I asked what needs my full attention. The answer was simple. The programme. The conversations. The invitations. If you are building something right now, this is your reminder. You do not always need another asset. Sometimes visibility means standing fully behind the work already in your hands. Level 5 Clara tool

@Natalie Hurdley that’s great- how is Clara helping you?
Hi all!!
I'm Nihaad 🙋‍♀️ I'm a brand & graphic designer for the mother who wants her business to work even on the days when she physically can't. I started my business, Our Polished Pages, in 2018 when I was in my 2nd trimester with my first born. Honestly, the first time I made money on the internet, I knew I'll never do anything else again because I can't imagine not being home raising my babies. I also sell Canva & Google Docs templates in my digital product shop. I'm a SAHM to 4 kids and my business has been like my 5th baby. Unfortunately, I've neglected it quite a bit for about a year when I had my youngest (he was quite the velcro baby, lol!) So when all my retainer clients ended off their projects with me, I had no clients or leads. It's been hard but I am optimistic, which has been tricky because it's such a weird time online right now (although I would LOVE to hear your recent wins to motivate me, please!) I am focusing on having real conversations with online business owners, to better understand what is needed and what kind of support is actually wanted right now - if you're experiencing uncertainty in business right now and just want to chat about it or bounce ideas off another human, I'm here for all of it 😊

Hi Nihaad, lovely to meet you. It’s great you’re focusing on having real conversations with business owners. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy networking so much. The conversations are often where the best ideas, collaborations and opportunities begin. I can also imagine how challenging it must have been rebuilding momentum after taking time to focus on your youngest. It sounds as though you’re approaching it with a lot of thought and optimism. Wishing you lots of success as you reconnect with people and grow things again.

@Nihaad Gamieldien You’re very welcome. I’ve found collaborations with other small business owners have been one of the most encouraging parts of this year. It’s reminded me how much we can achieve by supporting one another rather than trying to do everything ourselves. It sounds as though you’re approaching this new season with a really open mindset, and I’m sure those conversations will lead to opportunities you can’t yet see. Wishing you every success as you rebuild.

Hi, I'm Tosca! And a couple of weeks ago I spent 5 minutes with an old Tuscan plumber talking about pipes, but apparently I used the word for fallopian tubes instead. 🇮🇹🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm still taking lessons ofc. That's just a preview of why I never did my intro post. My husband Christopher and I relocated from LA to Tuscany — specifically to Sansepolcro, a tiny medieval town most people have never heard of (but where my brother, his young family, and my parents all moved within the last 3 years). What we didn't fully account for was that the transition would take 13+ months of living in Airbnbs while sorting out a permanent place to live. That's A LOT of other people's beds, bathrooms, and kitchens. 😬 Last week we finally found a temporary apartment. We were supposed to sign the contract on Thursday. I'll let you guess what that happened... Actually nothing yet. We are still waiting. This is Italy. We have made our peace with it. Mostly. 😄 I have celiac disease and some spinal injuries, so that's not amazing with other people's houses. Add in the culture shock, the language learning curve, and trying to build a business through all of it, and something had to give. Other Skool communities I was a member in definitely did. And social media too. I only missed one of those. It wasn't social media. 😉 I'm taking a few more months off social intentionally and focusing on channels that don't require me to perform for an algorithm or send Mark Zuckerberg more money. So I'm finally, officially saying hi here! A little more about me: I run an AI education community here on Skool for women business owners who want to build AI-powered apps and workflows without the tech overwhelm. I'm here to get better at email (I sometimes get it right but other times, well...) get to know you all better and finally stop being the person on the sidelines here. One more thing you should know about me: I have a Chihuahua named Lulu who has strong opinions about Italian cobblestones and has actually gotten a bit better at navigating them but prefers not to, with her tiny feet. 🐾

Welcome, Tosca. The Tuscany move sounds quite an adventure, although 13 months of Airbnbs sounds exhausting. I lived abroad for several years myself, in Hong Kong and later Romania, and I found the pace and culture very different between the two. I hope you’re soon able to settle into a place that feels like home after such a long transition.

@Tosca Fasso that’s good to hear- hope it continues.
Hello from Chicago, seeing life a little differently
Hi everyone, I’m Cynthia. As a certified Natural Vision & Executive Coach, I guide corporate leaders and entrepreneurs to improve eyesight naturally, reduce screen-related eye strain, and build sustainable visual habits for a clearer way of seeing. Outside of work, I enjoy travel, photography, art, and nature. What lights me up about being here is the opportunity to connect with other thoughtful, growth-minded people who value meaningful work and creating a life and business with more clarity and intention.

Welcome, Cynthia. As a photographer, I was immediately intrigued by your work. Helping people improve their eyesight naturally isn’t something I’ve come across before. I’d be interested to know what first led you into Natural Vision coaching. Photography, art and nature are some of my favourite things too.

@Cynthia Gedemer What an inspiring journey, Cynthia. It sounds as though this work deserves to become much more widely known. I guess so many people probably assume stronger prescriptions are the only answer. Thank you for sharing your story.
Howdy! Little intro to help Level Up 😄
Hi everyone! I've been on here for a few months now but realized I never made an intro when I first jumped in! I'm hoping to make it to Level 4 so I can participate in @Kylie Kelly's awesome collab opportunities and thought this would be a great place to start! 😊 I'm Fefe, a mom of 2 in the San Francisco Bay Area who loves singing (Broadway, pop, Disney) and finance (spreadsheets are my Holy Grail! 😆) and my current BIG mission/purpose in life is to help pregnant entrepreneurs create a rock-solid maternity leave plan so that they don't have to worry about the money/business and can concentrate on being present with their new baby without guilt or stress. After having my two babies (now 6 and 2), my whole perspective on motherhood, work and business changed and I really wanted to find a way to bridge my finance background (CPA & 16 years in accounting/finance) with the new tug in my heart to help other mothers find a way to be with their babies for longer (and on their own terms!). My biz journey has gone through lots of shifts and turns of its own, but my new Skool (Maternity Freedom Lounge) is the culmination of this passion project of mine and I hope to do right by the mothers and expecting mothers who join. Looking forward to meeting all you awesome folks out here in Kylie's world and hopefully join forces to make the world a brighter place!! Love, Fefe 😊

Levelling up is defo worth it! Your mission feels very personal and purposeful. It sounds as though your own experience of motherhood helped shape a business that solves a real problem for other women. Also, as someone who enjoys singing, do you have a favourite Broadway or Disney song?

@Fefe Gong I love that your choice of song brought a whole bar of bikers together to sing along! It says something about both the power of music and the joy you bring when you sing. What a lovely memory to have.
