Lookalike Audiences
I know that, in the past, lookalike audiences were a thing for FB ads. Is that still a thing? Is there a way to hone in a bit to people like those on your newsletter list? Asking because right now my FB page the ads are associated with is a ghost town. I'm wondering if there are things I could do to help where this is a brand new name and a brand new page.

@Jill Cooper This FB page is only a month old, I haven't used it much, and it's never run ads. That makes total sense about lookalike audiences!

Debating trying ads on one of my gay romances to see if they work better now than they used to. I'm in the process of updating the cover (attached) and want to make any other changes you'd recommend before it goes live. I'm changing the cover because book 3 has a different style cover (long story) and it's been doing really well, while the others in the series struggled to get traction. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSR169F8

@Jill Cooper The two POV blurbs still seem to be most popular on Amazon for gay romance, but I agree it needs to be polished. I'll likely try some single POV on FB ads. What do you think of this? A single dad ready to stop pretending. A contractor ready to catch him. And a renovation that changes everything. Buying a crumbling Queen Anne in Maple Hill was supposed to be a fresh start for Noah Thompson and his son. Instead, it’s a money pit. He is drowning in leaky pipes, falling plaster, and the terrifying realization that he is in way over his head. He needs a professional. He certainly didn't plan on hiring the one man who makes him question every safe choice he’s ever made. Luke Garrett isn’t just the town’s best contractor; he’s the younger brother of Noah's best friend. But the gangly kid Noah remembers is gone. In his place is a capable, charming man who handles Noah’s crumbling house—and his precocious son—with a steady confidence that Noah craves. Noah has always known there was a part of himself he hadn’t explored, but he promised to always put his son first. Yet, late nights of sanding floors and sharing pizza are blurring the lines between "client" and "partner". Luke is ready to build a future, but when a terrifying accident at the lake shakes Noah’s confidence as a father, he has to decide: is he brave enough to tear down the walls around his heart, or will he let fear condemn them both to a life apart? Room for Love is a swoony, low-angst MM romance about a grumpy single dad and the sunshine contractor who brings his walls down. If you love best friend’s brother complications, tender bisexual awakenings, and the competence kink that comes with a tool belt, this renovation romance is for you. Expect a precocious kid who wants to help, plenty of open-door steam, and a guaranteed happy ending.
What is this patience thing???
Okay, so the ad is set up, I KNOW it's going to take some time to figure out where to serve and all of that, but where are the millions of downloads and buys??? I can't be the only one feeling this way, right?

@Jill Cooper Can you keep reminding me of this? LOL
To Boost or Not To Boost
❓Question: Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question, so let me know if i need to post somewhere else: In order to to increase our email list, we offered the reader magnet for free using a FB post boost, since you are not recommending a boost (as mentioned in one video) how should we offer the reader magnet?😬

You could likely just run an ad to it.

@Jill Cooper Do you think it would work to change it to say she's just visiting? Or I could say for her sister's wedding? Or is this me overthinking it because ending with her being a commitment-phobe feels low?
