You’re Spending Money on Social Media… but Not on the Part That Builds Your Business.
Many of you are dropping $100 or more every week across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube—but not on the side that actually grows your visibility, your audience, or your income. You’re investing in impulse buys, entertainment, and convenience… while the very platform you’re scrolling on is waiting for you to use those same dollars to put your message in front of the people who need you. Imagine taking that SAME $100 and using it to promote a post, boost a reel, or push your live stream to a targeted audience. That’s not risky—it’s strategic. That’s how you increase reach, test your messaging, validate your offer, and put your brilliance in front of thousands of people who already care about what you do. Even a $20 promotion can test a message, validate an offer, and show you what people actually respond to. Marketing isn’t magic—it’s placement. When you put your content where your people are already scrolling, the algorithm becomes your assistant instead of your obstacle. So let me ask you… If you took one week of your “scroll-and-spend” budget and used it to promote your business, • Who would you target? • What age range would you focus on? • What interests would you select to attract the RIGHT people? Drop your answers below. Let’s get intentional.

I have 3 different target audience due to the nature of my nonprofit. First would be new moms/moms ages 18-24, second would be people who support my mission ages 25-45, and lastly would be donors/partners ages 30-65. The interest would be safety and crisis prevention which would catch the attention of all 3 categories of my audience.

@Jennifer Murchison Thank you for these questions. This is definitely something for me to think about. For my first audience moms 18-24 their crisis-related fear would be they are scared and can’t take care of their baby. This can be very scary, especially for first time moms. My 3 second content for them would be. “We will help you and your baby immediately-without judgment.” For my second audience 25-45 mission supporters. The action I’d want them to take is to share my content to spread awareness so those in need can find the help they deserve. My 3 second content would be “Your voice and awareness can protect vulnerable infants in Nevada.” For my third audience 30-65 donors/partners. What would motivate them emotionally would be preventable tragedies and a desire to protect the infants. Professionally they would be motivated by being a part of a statewide safety initiative. My 3 second content to them would be “Your partnership creates a lifesaving safety net for babies and overwhelmed parents.”
“Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12 (KJV)
“Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12 (KJV) This scripture is a reality check and a roadmap. God is reminding you that time is a measurement tool—not a mystery. Every dawn you woke up to this year created data. Every choice created evidence. Every habit left a trail. And now, stepping into the last month of the year, you’re standing face-to-face with one question: What do your metrics say about you? Metrics don’t lie. Your habits show up in the numbers. Your truth shows up in the patterns. Your results expose whether you were intentional… or inconsistent. But here’s the deeper layer: When God says apply your heart to wisdom, He’s not asking you to get emotional—He’s commanding you to get strategic. Applying your heart to wisdom means: - You treat your time like currency, not confetti. - You make decisions based on purpose, not pressure. - You measure your habits, not just your hopes. - You align your actions with the future you keep praying for. - You stop drifting and start directing. - You stop reacting and start evaluating. - You stop moving blindly and start moving wisely. In other words: Wisdom is not about knowing more. Wisdom is about doing better. It’s the shift from “I didn’t know” to “Now that I do know, I’ll act like it.” This is your month to adjust, align, tighten your execution, and finish with wisdom—not excuses. Reflection Prompts: - What did this year reveal about my discipline, my decisions, and my direction? - What is the ONE goal I must complete in this final month that will make next year clearer, lighter, or stronger? - What did I lose this year that—once I’m honest—actually sharpened me? - What did I accomplish—big or small—that proves I’m not who I was at the start of the year? Accountability Dare: - Share ONE metric you’re committed to improving this month—treat it as a gift of accountability to your future self.

My goal is to continue to stay consistent and not allow any distractions to knock me down. This has been an ultimate struggle for me for many years but this year I am more than determined to accomplish everything I have set forth for myself. So far I have achieved my first goal, turning my pain into purpose!

Great day everyone! My name is Quannishia Burrell (Queen), and I am the Founder and Executive Director of O’Nesty’s (Honesty) Safe Arms Foundation. O’Nesty was my late granddaughter who passed away in 2024. My organization is dedicated to protecting infants in crisis, supporting overwhelmed parents, and bringing Safe Haven education and emergency infant resources to communities across Nevada. I’m building a system of safety, compassion, and rapid support so no baby’s life is ever left to chance. My biggest current goal: To establish a strong foundation for our nonprofit by finishing our governance structure, filing for our 501(c)(3) status, and securing our first group of founding partners who will help us launch our infant crisis response and Safe Haven education programs. It is truly a blessing to be amongst like minded, educated woman. I wish you all the best and remember to always stay true to yourself!
