Hey there sunshine sisters!! This week's tip is on oven cleaning. First thing I have to say is if you have a self cleaning option on your oven DO NOT USE IT!!!! Using this feature the oven will get itself up to 900 degrees. As silly as it sounds most of your electrical components for your motherboard of your oven are in a heat path. One of the most common fails that happens with this appliance is due to the self cleaning temperatures. The motherboard has small connections on it and the heat can fry the motherboard out. Here are a couple ways you can clean your oven without risk of frying the mother board. Baking soda paste 1/2 cup baking soda + a few tablespoons of water apply and leave overnight. Spray white vinegar to activate and wipe away residue. Steam cleaning with a bowl of water and vinegar at 350°F for 30 minutes also loosens grime 1 cup water + 1 cup white Vinegar in an oven safe bowl Important Tips Avoid Heating Elements: Do not apply cleaning mixtures directly onto the heating elements. Remove Racks: Take racks out before applying the paste to the interior. Protect the Floor: Lay down newspaper or a sheet to catch grime while cleaning. If you've read this far you get the biggest tip of all.. the glass on the oven/wood burner door and how its almost impossible to clean that stuff off there. Ash from burning wood works to clean that stuff off the glass on your oven or on a wood burning stove. You just get a damp rag dip it in the ash and scrub the glass and the burnt on yuck will actually will come off!! ☮️❤️😁☀️

A Tribute to Connie Brown
A Tribute to Connie Brown: Gone but Never Forgotten There aren’t enough colors on a palette to describe the woman she was. To many, she was "Grandma Cookie"—the woman whose kitchen always smelled like heaven and whose door was always open. To her, a cookie wasn’t just a treat; it was an olive branch, a "welcome home," and a way to say I love you all at once. She was the definition of kind and nurturing, making sure no one ever left her house with an empty stomach or a heavy heart. To our family, she was a supportive wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always led with grace. For me, she was my first and greatest teacher. She was an artist, but she didn’t keep that gift for herself. I remember sitting with her, learning to draw and paint. She taught me how to see beauty in the world, how to be patient with myself, and how—if you look close enough—there is light and color even in the darkest corners. Beyond the art studio and the kitchen, there was the farm. When the rooster would crow, I’d climb into bed with Grandma and Grandpa, complaining that the "shikins" woke me up. They would cuddle me, comfort me, and help me fall back asleep. In later years, they made every little girl’s dream come true by providing me with a pony, a horse, and riding lessons. One of the biggest lessons I learned there was that when you get knocked down, you have to get back up and get back on the horse. It wasn’t just about the gifts; it was about the way they showed up for me, cheering from the sidelines and making sure I had the wings to fly. They gave me a childhood filled with magic and adventure, teaching me that with a little courage, patience, and love, I could do anything. It’s been hard to put into words the impact she had, but I know this for sure: I wouldn’t be who I am today without her. She showed me that you don’t need a lot of words to show love; you just need to be present, be kind, and maybe have a batch of something warm ready to share. Grandma, thank you for the lessons on canvas and in life, the warmth of your kitchen, and the unconditional love you poured into all of us. You were a vibrant soul who left the world more colorful and sweeter than you found it. The legacy you left is not what is etched in stone, but what you have woven into the hearts of others.

Happy Wednesday Sunshine sisters!!!! Have you ever had a case of the hiccups that just would not go away? No amount of holding your breath, someone scaring you or chugging water will make them stop? Years ago my friend Sandy taught me a trick that has never failed to stop my hiccups. *You only need two simple ingredients water and salt •lick your hand like you're going to do a tequila shot and apply the salt •lick the salt off your hand and chug your water That's it!! They should be gone! If you get a case of the hiccups give this a shot and let me know if it works for you! #WisdomWednesday ☮️❤️😁

I used to read a lot though I find myself filling my time with art or work or something else at the moment in my life lol Some of my favorite books though are by Dean Koontz or Jeffrey deaver. . But probably the best comedy series I've ever read was the Stephanie plum series if you haven't read those and you want a good laugh with a little bit of mystery you have to read those books!
