New Year. New Direction. Same Ancient Wisdom.
WISDOM WORKS LIVE - SELF-MASTERY New Year. New Direction. Same Ancient Wisdom. A new year always brings fresh commitments. People resolve to fix relationships, advance careers, grow businesses, and make more money, yet year after year many find themselves frustrated, inconsistent, and quietly asking why the same patterns keep repeating despite sincere effort. Scripture is not unclear about this. When the inner life is disordered, everything built on top of it eventually feels unstable. If self is not mastered, relationships suffer. If self is not mastered, money becomes a source of pressure rather than provision. If self is not mastered, even good intentions produce uneven results. That is why we are launching Wisdom Works Live - a new direction and a renewed focus inside THE PROVERBS 12X METHOD - beginning with Self-Mastery, because wisdom always works inward before it works outward. This first session will not be about habits, productivity hacks, or temporary motivation. It will address the most overlooked step in the New Year conversation: who you are becoming, and why discipline, clarity, and consistency always flow downstream from ordered love and inner governance. If you want better relationships, wiser decisions, and sustainable growth this year, this is where the work must begin. Here is link to join us tomorrow (Wed @ 12 Noon) - New Time! Wisdom at the Gates: How to Hear God’s Voice in a Noisy World
12X Lab - Proverbs 8 | New Time: 11:00 AM EST (Every Wednesday) “Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?” - Proverbs 8:1 (KJV) Wisdom is not hiding. She is not whispering. She is crying out - in the streets, at the crossroads, and at the gates of your daily decisions. Tomorrow’s 12X Lab will meet at our new time: 11:00 AM EST, and we’ll study one of the most breathtaking chapters in all of Scripture - Proverbs 8. This chapter is a living portrait of Christ-like Wisdom speaking to every generation, every profession, and every person who will listen. It’s not merely about knowing principles. It’s about hearing a Person - the voice of Wisdom herself, calling you to order your Self, Wealth, and Relationships by God’s truth. Take 10 minutes tonight to read Proverbs 8 slowly. Then join us tomorrow at 11AM ready to discuss what God says about each of these three domains. 1. SELF – The Discipline of Listening (Proverbs 8:32–36) “Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.” Exegesis The Hebrew word translated “hear” is shāmaʿ - meaning “to listen with intent to obey.” Wisdom’s call is not background noise; it demands attention and action. Notice the verbs: hearken, hear, watching, waiting. These describe spiritual posture - the daily habit of turning down the volume of the world to tune your heart to the frequency of God. To “watch daily at her gates” means to show up every day, ready to receive what Wisdom gives. It’s the image of a student arriving early, not late, waiting to hear the Master’s voice. Explanation Solomon is teaching that self-mastery begins with listening. Every decision of your day flows from who or what you are listening to. You cannot lead yourself wisely if you are led by distraction, emotion, or pride.
