My tracks always feel smooth but they feel like they don’t have a main melody. Ik the simple thing is to add a main melody but even when I do, it just fades into the track and doesn’t really catch you as standalone.

How do y'all start a project?
I think you sometimes really have to switch up your process to be more creative, so i thought i would ask y'all how you usually start, or what are some of your favorite ways you like to start a project!

Sometimes I like to come up with a melody, and change the VST to a crazy synth preset or something. Usually Omnisphere or freq-2. Then I support the melody w chords and context
