Hi, my name is Prith, I've been playing volleyball for a year and a half now, I'm from India and I'm about 180 centimeters tall, I hope to be able to play middle blocker, and that this post will help me unlock the basic course. Thanks!
Hey all, I have slightly more advanced questions regarding blocking. If you look at higher level volleyball, people are really good at using the block to achieve block outs or touches to get points. Do you have any tips how to get block outs? So far my solution was to hit harder, but that isn't really a good solution 😅 And since I am mainly playing mb I am also happy to get some tips on how not be used as a blocker. I would assume that the main focus is how you angle your arms/hands while blocking.
I've got a friend who only goes for blockouts since he's too short, I guess the only tip that I could give you would be to aim right at their fingertips, and off to the side.
I understand you want to unlock the jump program. Please try reaching 5 points by sharing something valuable for the volleyball community. For example: - Introduce yourself, your goals and anything interesting about you - Ask questions related to volleyball & jumping - Share volleyball experiences & your own things you learned and struggled with - Share anything that could help the people inside the community to improve their body, mind or game
Still one of my biggest problems is timing my approach for a spike. I never want to blame the setter for inconsistent sets but I can’t manage to react to the different speeds always correct. Any tips?
