I'm attending a wedding in June, and I was thinking of approaching the bride & groom (family) to see if they want me to shoot some 360 videos of their wedding. If they are well done, this could open up so many possibilities: 1) Selling 360 tours for the wedding venue, so potential customers could enjoy an immersive experience of the wedding day. 2) Partnering with wedding venues to get them to recommend us for a 360 video photographer, or even include it with their wedding packages. 3) Single or multiple camera packages of the wedding - not a long, live-type video, but capture important moments -- the actual ceremony, introduction of the married couple at the reception, all the important speeches (best man, maid of honor), first dance, cutting of the cake, the exit of the bride and groom. One of the biggest issues with wedding photography and videography - is the photographer being in the way, or interfering with the view of guests. A 360 camera on a monopod, weighted down with sandbags, and controlled with a remote or iPhone, would be much less of a distraction than a videographer or photographer. I think you could install a 360 camera right on the altar, perhaps behind the priest, for a great view of the ceremony. I think this would be especially cool if the wedding is at a really great venue. What are your thoughts?
