great book
📚 A great book starts with a clear intention. Before I write a single word for a client, I always ask: 👉 “What do you want this book to do for you?” Some say visibility. Some say impact. Some say legacy. Once that goal is clear, the writing flows with purpose. 💬 What’s your book’s deeper purpose—impact, income, or influence?

@Kirsten Mathews That’s such a great shift — starting with impact lays the right foundation, and now aligning that with income is a powerful next step. 🌟 Many writers and creatives are in that same space — wanting to turn their message or story into something that not only inspires others but also generates consistent income. If you’d like, I can share a few practical ways to turn your ideas or expertise into an ebook or digital product that works for you, even while you focus on impact. 💼✨
Every book begins as chaos
📌 Every book begins as chaos.Scattered notes, half-formed ideas, pages that don’t connect. But when shaped with care, that chaos turns into a book readers can’t put down. As a ghostwriter, my role is often to bring order to that creative storm. 💬 What’s the most chaotic part of your writing process right now?
Goals
I have a daily goal of writing a 1k words a day. I usually just mentally track it and congratulate or reflect each night I finish writing. This month I printed out a calendar to physically keep track and have it right on my desk as a visual reminder. I love being in competition with myself! Only 22/30 days complete and I’ve written 28,081 words. Those are split between 2 wips but I’m making great progress and I’m excited to see what this last full week will bring! Anyone else keep track of their progress and find it helpful in your process?

Wow, that’s incredible consistency 👏—over 28k words in a month is no small feat! I like the way you’re turning writing into a game with yourself, it really keeps motivation high. I usually track progress too, but not as visually as a desk calendar—that’s such a smart idea. Thanks for sharing this approach!
📌 Your outline is your roadmap.
Without it, writing feels like wandering in the dark.When I ghostwrite, I always help authors build a clear outline first—it saves time and reduces overwhelm. 💬 Do you outline before writing, or dive straight into the draft?

@Kirsten Mathews That's a smart move
📚 From idea to polished ebook.
One of my clients recently left this feedback: “Philip’s attention to detail, creativity, and ability to capture my ideas made the process seamless. The ebook exceeded my expectations and was perfectly aligned with my vision.” This kind of feedback reminds me why I love what I do: helping writers turn messy drafts or unstructured ideas into professional, publish-ready work. 💬 If you’re working on something right now — where do you feel most stuck: writing, editing, or publishing?
