Asynchronous Learning
Asynchronous learning is not only a mouthful, but also jargon that most people outside of teaching are unfamiliar with. So, I was wondering, what do you call asynchronous lessons when you are talking to learners?

This is so true. I have a little course called ‘Speak to Succeed’ which seems to be clear to students. It’s also really useful and easy to sell to people that have exams like IELTS coming up 👍
Confused
Hello, I'm throwing it here in case I'm not the only one and maybe we can support each other. I've had my business's for 3 years now but I mostly teach through language school. I took part in some coaching programmes for entrepreneurs and now I'm trying to do the whole marketing thing on IG. So far not really successful and Im already burnout, running out of time to teach 1-1 so I thought of switch to group courses. But I also heard opinion that you should first master 1-1, have clients and then switch. Any thoughts on that?

Agreed. It is not as easy as you would think putting groups together. I would try offer something for free. A webinar, free lesson or resource to attract people and even then take every small win as a win and don’t beat yourself up if it doesn’t go to plan. Let me know how you get on.
A kick start in 2025!
Hi Everyone, my names Phil and I started on my journey to set up my online teaching business last year. Sadly, got little done other than create a website, but this year I’ve really started marketing my courses and now need help attracting customers as it hasn’t been as simple as I’d first anticipated. Still, it is early days and so any advice is welcome. And of course, anything I can do for the members here, I’m happy to help.
