🎉 Thanking Our Community Leaders
Love seeing our community leaders showcased every week in our community...and some newcomers. Skool communities thrive with engaged members and community leaders...not from one guru, host or operator. 🔥 If you're at Level 1 - you need 5 points to get to Level 2 and gain access to the Built To Be Seen Summit from March 30-April 1. Start with this post. If you're in our community to launch & grow your Skool community in 2026, you need to get on leaderboards in other communities. You'll get recognized for your expertise in your posts, but most especially in your comments!! 👉 Here are 3 thoughts on why leaderboards work: 1️⃣ To grow on leaderboards, comment and reply to other people's comments. 2️⃣ Create posts only to elicit comments from other members to draw out their perspectives, opinions and expertise...not to showcase only your own. 3️⃣ It's not about competition, it's about community and coming back to a place that feels like home. 🎉 Congrats on the week to: @Christine Vabre (who is on my leaderboard in all 3 of my communities) @Petra Fisher @Tracy Holmes @Kylie Kelly @Ann-Marie Burtell (who just started in the last 72 hours) @Addie Beall @Martine Brown @Vanessa Choi @Wendy Hart @Mercedes Aspland ** Follow these members so you can catch more of these posts and comments.

Thanks for the shout out. Happy to be on the leaderboards. It means I enjoy the community and members value my input.
🧁 Do you trust and expert who doesn't get the results themselves?
Do you trust a coach to get you x revenue, when they only make half themselves? An overweight weight loss coach? A leadership coach without a background in a leadership role? I DO! (if I see proof of their results for others) How many clients do you think I'd gotten through LinkedIn when I started my business? None! I mean, my first client was just that, my first client, so I got them results I had not gotten for myself yet. My super power is explaining, training, teaching… 🏊🏽‍♀️ I was a learn-to-swim instructor for 5 years and successfully taught over 1000 children to swim breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly and backstroke. I can only swim breaststroke myself and just 2-3 meters in any of the other strokes. 🚛 For 2 years I taught guys on a truck driver course the theory of diesel engine mechanics. I have never even seen a diesel engine. 💉 I have taught injecting drug users how to do so safely, yet never been an injecting drug user myself. 🔒 I also taught this in prison, where supposedly there are no drugs, and it is harder to do so hygienically. I've never been imprisoned myself. ⏰ I delivered accredited time management programs through the Chamber of Commerce yet still scramble to do things right before a deadline. 📝 I taught business writing to public servants, never having been in business or the public service back then… ▫️I was a trainer and examiner for ICDL without having used all programs myself. ▫️Same with Lotus Notes. ▫️I was a train the trainer for the ASIST program, I've not been suicidal myself.▫️I've been a public health educator on hepatitis C (which I don't have)... You do not need lived experience to teach something brilliantly. These days I am too lazy to learn new stuff just to teach it. 😄 (you know I don't teach Sales Navigator or Paid Ads). THAT is why I only teach what I do and what works for my business. 𝗦𝗼, 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Do you trust a coach who hasn’t ‘done it’ themselves? ❤️ Love some examples of amazing coaches or trainers you’ve come across who nsy not have 'done it" themselves. (tag them if they're a member here) ⤵️

@Faith Christiansen yes and they still can't give birth. This is why I dont feel an expert has to have made it happen for themselves to successfully teach others.

@Faith Christiansen the qualification and knowledge I agree. Lived experience to me depends on the situation.
Ever tried giving a FREE lifetime membership at Level 8?
... in your paid community I have this in place in our Aligned AF Community Our engagement is at 75% and our daily activities range from 300-500 (not bad for 275 members). My goal is to get the community to 85% engagement before summer and increase our ranking on discovery for the money category (not an easy job). 📈 Higher Discovery Ranking = Higher Organic Traffic from Skool But instead of tiring our new members to post and comment, or build another "widget" to unlock, I'm giving away a lifetime FREE membership for my Level 8 members. Right now... - 4% of members are at Level 6 - 18% of members are at Level 5 - 15% of members are at Level 4 I texted all of those members yesterday to remind them...and already everyone is commenting more!! I know some of you are thinking I must be crazy to walk away from that MRR in my business. But here's my method to the madness >>> far better to have those engaged legacy members retained and contributing, then to pay out more money in Meta Ad costs. What are your thoughts? Are you doing this already? Will you try it?

🧁 I cancelled my Skool group for my high ticket program and moved them to my freemium community as VIP level. Given that level 8 requires a lot of engagement... I might even consider giving life time VIP to anyone who reaches level 8. Just wondering how to reduce the rust of too much random posts like "what did you eat yesterday" by members. Or just remind members how to filter posts so that they can quickly see the ones that they came for?
🌄 You Don’t Have to Be a Guru to Guide Others 🌄
🌟Somewhere behind you on the path is someone praying for the wisdom you already carry.🌟 You may not see yourself as a guide yet… but to someone else, you already are. Many people believe they must reach the very top of the mountain before they are worthy of helping anyone. But that’s not how wisdom travels through the world. 🏔️Most of the people who truly guide us are simply a few steps ahead on the path. 🏔️ - They’ve walked through something. - They’ve faced the fog. - They’ve discovered a foothold that others cannot see yet. And then something beautiful happens. They turn around…extend a hand… 🤝 and say: “Come this way. The path opens here.” That’s not a guru. That’s a guide. 🧭 Guides don’t claim perfection. Guides share what they’ve lived. Every challenge you’ve moved through…every insight you’ve earned…every truth you’ve discovered the hard way… becomes light on the trail for someone else. ✨ 🌀So here’s a reflection for today: Where in your life are you already a few steps up the mountain? ⛰️ What have you learned…understood…or lived through… that could help someone else on their journey? You don’t have to reach the summit to guide someone. 🌄 Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply turn around and share the path. 🌄 🌱 🌸 What wisdom from your journey could help someone who is just beginning their climb? 🌸🌱 Ann-Marie Alignment by Design. Not by Default.

🧁 Love your mention of how others might see you. I always see potential in my clients that they may not have embraced yet. But... I used to call myself a LinkedIn Trainer. Clients started to say that I am so much more. That I am a business coach who focuses on LinkedIn as your marketing and kead gen channel. Even though I am the first to help others see their strengths and potential... Took me 3 years to agree with my clients that I am a business coach, personal branding and lead generation expert and a LinkedIn Trainer.

@Leanne de Araujo so that was my first Skool group. Where I just moved platform for my high ticket program. The clients were already there. My 2nd Skool group, different story, see my other comment here
