🧁 the power of questions on your booking page...
Make people think about why they want something, not just what they want. This makes them more involved in the call. When people book a call with me, I ask a few questions to help me understand them. This helps me prepare for the call. Allows me to help them even if they don't end up becoming a client. My motto is: Turn your network into raving fans, referring ambassadors and amazing clients. Being well prepared for a call means that I always achieve the raving fan and referring ambassador conversion. I've had calls where my service was not what someone needs. By being honest about that they end up raving about me. Mentioning me. And directly or indirectly getting me clients. One question I ask is "why me". This is market research. It tells me what about my online presence works. Today I noticed a call got booked. I'm not sure if what I offer is what they need right now. We'll find out on the call. Their answer to the "why me" question made my day. Put a smile on my dial. 🧁 What's the most helpful question you ask people when they book a call? PS... yes, I also help my clients set up their call bookings. What questions to ask. How to prepare for and conduct the call and how to follow up.

@Brenda Rigney yup to all three of them. What's a question that you've gotten gold nuggets from?

@Brenda Rigney brilliant. It makes people visualise the change rather than having an abstract goal. AND you're planting the seed of working with you for 3 months.
Most VSLs fail because they teach too much
Most VSLs fail because they teach too much… and persuade too little. A great VSL isn’t an info dump. It's a belief shift. Hook the problem. Create curiosity. Introduce a new way of thinking. Make the offer feel inevitable. And remember: Long videos don’t lose attention. Boring videos do. 👀

Can you share the links to a mini and a homework VSL that you use @Brenda Rigney ? Note to self "given current budget, before watching: brace yourself strongly as Brenda is most convincing and delivers great stuff"

@Brenda Rigney I saw the announcement of the AMA timing doesn't work for me 😒 will there be a replay?
🧁 LinkedIn can be fun and profitable
Don't overthink it, when you don't know what to post on LinkedIn... Just post something dumb that (hopefully) sparks comments so that your visibilitea goes up and you get inspiration from the comment conversations. Here's a little game AND your chance to get visibility and feedback! 1. Comment on my post on LinkedIn 2. Create your own dumb post 3. Comment here on Skool with the link to your dumb post 4. Check out other people's dub posts, comment on them if you like 5. BONUS weave in some of your expertise in your comments without really talking about your work, just weaving in 1-2 keywords. And if you want feedback on your commenting skills... Each time you comment on a dumb post you found here... screenshot your comment and post it here, tag me to ask for feedback. Make sure to add 1-2 sentence about your work and ideal client, so that I can give proper feedback.

@Gwynne Conlyn sure. Do you mean technically: where to click to add your Skool. Or strategically: how to write about Skool?

@Gwynne Conlyn you got snowed under in my notifications. On your LinkedIn profile go to experience. Click the pencil. Add new job. This is where you can add your role as Skool owner. If you need more help. On my Skool profile you'll see my free Skool that is focused on LinkedIn.

🧁 I had another look at mine when I set up my keywords. I'm happy with the about page. I updated that shirt group description. So I think that description, the about page and the keywords are in sync now.
Who's done a video for their 'About' page?
I've been doing a little research this morning for some key words pertinent to my group in Discovery. There doesn't seem to be much correlation between decent numbers of members or a high ticket entry and a 'good quality' About page. It's very puzzling! Some communities have hundreds of members and a terrible About page! 🙊 I wanted to know how other community members have found their conversion rates from their About page if they have used a video, and specifically a real life, you speaking to camera, video. I feel like we should do one for my Skool, but as we've just launched we have started with a relatively basic start just to get going. I believe a genuine, human led message will land really well and sift out those who aren't going to be a fit with those who will. Please vote below and also tell me in the comments what your experience has been. I would also be interested to see what you think as community members - does a personal video from the owner make a difference to you joining? Thank you!

I think I have 2 videos. One that is a bit of a guided tour. The other one is one of my best LinkedIn training videos. Giving people value before deciding to join.
