Again, I find myself lost because I'm using Fender Studio Pro 8.1 (Formerly Studio One 7) and not Logic Pro. First, I'd like to start by saying I think since were just learning at this point the 66 Track song "Panic" is WAY too big and daunting when we should be focused on the individual steps of the entire process. It took me countless hours just to rename, reorder and gain stage all those tracks. I find it counterproductive that you guys often use a different track in the videos than the ones we're working on ourselves. I understand that you probably do that purposefully so we don't just copy the same things you do in the video, but at this point I don't think copying what we see would necessarily be a bad thing as long as we had an explanation as to why those changes were being made. The point is for us to learn the process from beginning to end and if I can't just hit THIS button and click THIS menu because my DAW is different maybe I could at least get an explanation of how to achieve the same result in my own DAW. For example, in the "Working with Busses" video, after creating all the SUMMING FOLDERS (Which isn't an option in Studio Pro) we are instructed to turn down all of the tracks except for the grouped busses to Infinity. However, when I do that, I lose all of the audio going TO my busses. From what I understood the Sends are supposed to be Pre Fader and I can't seem to figure out how to make them so, or if there even is a way. I would like some help figuring all of this stuff out by asking the community as I'm told to do in the videos, but I would also like to be able to get some answers from the instructors themselves as the monthly mentor calls aren't frequent enough when I have a bunch of questions and I just need some answers to move forward. I know quite a few of you know @Mark Lantz from various programs at Mastering.com . We found out earlier today that Mark passed away Sunday morning. We don't know the details but I'm asking you to keep Mark's wife Laura in your prayers. Last month Mark released "Always by my Side", a song he wrote and produced about and dedicated to his wife. Mark and I have had many conversations, 1 on 1 zoom calls, mentor calls, and chat messages. I have watched him progress since Sept 2023 as he started his musical journey with us. He went from not knowing anything about the DAW to becoming a great producer utilizing his natural singing ability and talent. While I am very sad that he has passed away, I know he was a man of great faith and is in the promised land today. There is so much more I can say about Mark, and will over time, but for now, I'll just post a link to his Spotify songs he released with the help of his mentors and community of friends in the program. If anyone ever tells you your music isn't important, stay away from them - there is power in music ... Mark's music, and his journey to get to where he released songs, touched many people and is an inspiration to us all. Hey, just wondering who this song was written and performed by. Its a really powerful song and It has really grown on me during the project where I've worked on it. I also like "Pretty Liar" and would like to know who the songwriter/performer is. I really think you guys should always try to give credit to the artist since you're using their music.

I worked on a private project that I haven't touched in Months and with all the things I've learned so far, I finally felt confident enough about the adjustments and the musical choices I was making to finally feel like I was making positive progress and not just "Winging it". The project isn't anything I have a time limit on, and I'm kind of just using it to build upon step by step as I learn new techniques throughout the courses on Mastering .com Hopefully when I'm done I'll have created something I'm proud of as a musician, an engineer and a producer.
