So today I was reminded that although things aren’t as bad as they could be in my life i am feeling the hit hard no pun intended after a Durango ran me over while I waited at a red light on my R6 in January and me faceplanting on the gravel at 50mph with no helmet in February less than a month later having 3 plastic facial reconstructive surgeries followed by 8 months of not being medically allowed to work cost me 10 years of savings and meticulous financial planning just like that yeah I’m lucky I have my life and can still ride but I am back to square one like I was at 21 years old so just be careful out there and pay attention and those who don’t ride do the same please someone’s life may depend on it

Eligibility & Theme • Who Can Enter: This contest is open exclusively to members of metal lab • Theme: Open Expression The theme is "Any Photo," but the judges will prioritize images that capture the spirit, craft, and culture of our community. This includes, but is NOT limited to: • The Spark: Welding, fabrication, shop work, tools, metalworking, or the finished steel product. • The Ride: Motorcycles, group rides, scenic stops, custom bikes, or portraits on a bike. • The People: Portraits of members, camaraderie, gatherings, or shop life. • Originality: All photos must be original work taken by the entrant. 2. Submission Guidelines • Submission Period: TO BE DETERMINED • Entry Limit: Each participant may submit a maximum of (2)photographs. • Format & Size: • Photos must be submitted digitally in JPEG (.jpg) format. • Images should be high-resolution for potential printing (minimum 2500 pixels on the longest side). The file size should not exceed 15MB. • Identification: inbox me the submissions directly • Watermarks: Submissions must not contain watermarks, borders, or added text. • Image Manipulation: Standard digital darkroom adjustments are allowed (cropping, color correction, dodging/burning). Composite images or those with elements added or removed are NOT permitted (keep it authentic!). 3. Safety & Legal • Subject Consent: If a photo prominently features a person, the entrant must have that person's permission to submit the image. 4. Judging & Prizes • Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged equally on: • Impact & Storytelling (Does it capture the community spirit?) • Technical Quality (Focus, lighting, composition.) • GRAND PRIZE!!: • 1st Place - The Spark Award: $50 cash through cash app or Apple Pay on the day after the winner is announced after 5pm • Winner Notification: Winners will be announced on the Metal Lab page and notified via email. 5. Rights & Usage • Copyright: The photographer retains full copyright to their image.
