Weekend Q&A 06/06
The weekends should be the time you use to build your escape from your 9-5 It's where the true winner's put their hours instead of partying I still work every weekend. I love this game. So Ask me anything about Amazon! Or general Ecom

Honest opinion on “Generic” brand listings. Have you or do you sell products under these listings? I see so many of these listings that make a killing with big Amazon sellers but when I check Keepa, the listing has somehow been there for years! Ticking time bomb? What’s the worst that can happen if you start selling on one of these listings? They tell you to remove your listing or will they actually just suspend your account entirely?

Might have been talked about already but I just saw your recent short on YouTube about creating your own new listings. Do you have a YouTube video about this already? If not, would you be open to making one? Specifically the pros and cons of creating your own listing. Have you done this yourself already and been successful? I have certain products from some wholesalers I’ve been able to work with who have some potentially lucrative products if sold on Amazon at retail price but there isn’t a listing for it yet.
Amazon US to Amazon CAN?
Have any of you purchased items from Amazon US and sold them on Amazon CAN? I’ve found some products that come out to a profit, even after conversion, fees etc. But if Amazon comes calling or sends a Section 3, will my Amazon receipt work as proper supply chain proof?
What Section 3 actually is
In the past few weeks, two of my cohort 1 students got hit with Section 3 emails from Amazon. Both got their accounts back. I want to walk you through what we actually did because Section 3 doesn't sit on the "pillars of pain" lessons. It's not supposed to happen. But it does. And how you handle the first 24 hours basically decides the outcome. What Section 3 actually is It's a verification email. They want to verify your identity, your inventory, and how you do business. It is NOT a suspension. It's a temporary pause so a real human can interview you. From everything I've seen, it's random, there's no specific action that triggers it. Just Amazon's numbers game on this new wave of sellers. The verbiage is aggressive on purpose. Don't let it scare you. The trap word: "brand authorization" This is where most people panic. In the interview, they'll ask: "Do you have authorization from the brand to sell these products?" Your gut says "yeah, I'm ungated." Don't say that. Ungated and authorized are not the same thing. The truth: nobody has brand authorization. My mentor doesn't doesn't have it. Wholesalers don't get it from the brand either. Amazon knows this, third-party selling is part of their game. I think the question is in there as a scapegoat, just in case they need a paper reason to remove an actual fraud. Just answer honestly: no, you don't have brand authorization. You're fine. What you need ready (today, even if your email hasn't come) When the email shows up, they'll list a few ASINs: usually 3 to 5. Sometimes your most recent. Sometimes from 6 months ago. You need: 1. Order confirmation email from the supplier for each ASIN 2. Bank statement showing the matching transaction 3. Credit card statement showing the matching transaction 4. Real ID: passport or driver's license, clear photo 5. Supplier name + full address for each ASIN ← this is the one that trips people up. They ask randomly in the interview, not in the email. Pro tip from walking my students through it: highlight every matching transaction in the bank/CC statement. Color-code by ASIN. Make sure your name and shipping address are consistent across every document. You're not just answering, you're overloading them with proof.

@Evan Jones I also have questions about this. My wife has her own secondary bank card tied to my business credit card just in case I want her to make purchases for me. I have a document identifying her as an authorized purchasing agent for the business for tax/CRA purposes. If she purchases items and her name is on the online receipts or invoice but it’s the business address and it was purchased with the business credit card, will this still pass the Section 3 review?

Man your page is honestly one of the best I’ve come across! I’ve spent hours watching your videos and reading through comments! You answered some of my questions I posted on YouTube, but I still had some more questions. You said if even one seller doesn’t have bilingual labels for their product, the whole listing will come down, unless someone proves they have bilingual labelling, then it’ll come back. So basically one random seller could ruin a whole listing for everyone? That’s crazy. I’ve crept certain BIG FBA SELLERS DOING BIG NUMBERS, made test buys from them and noted MULTIPLE items without bilingual labels and over 200 ASINS under “Generic” brand but somehow this seller is still able to sell and list these items, sometimes for YEARS! How is this possible?! I get so tempted to jump on these “ungated” generic listings because obviously I’m ungated but it seems so sketchy. It’s just frustrating seeing others make a killing on these listings though.
One year ago...
One year ago I was still selling in the USA I was waking up every day in fear that my business would be destroyed by tariffs I was stressing, but i never gave up. In june of 2025 is when i started gameplanning my transition to selling back on amazon Canada Come August I was 100% domestic - and in october I did 70k in sales 100% canadian... then december hits and I did $117,000 in sales... All Canadian sales One year ago is when I started to gameplan on taking Youtube seriously. If you look back at my videos a year ago, they were nothing like now. A lot can happen in a year. I went from an established US seller living in canada to a established Canadian seller, selling locally, i'm a software owner(CanFlip), I have the only youtube channel talking to canadian sellers every week and I run a successful Coaching Cohort Program. We tend not to stick things through long enough. Keep sourcing, keep showing up everyday and you'll stay winning

I appreciate you having a free online platform where you share real knowledge and insight! It’s a breath of fresh air to have a Canadian FBA seller focused on CANADIAN FBA only because the two markets are drastically different 🙏🤙🏼
