Just taking long walks with my dog everyday, to city's parks and open spaces, if I can't get away from the city, is enough for me. The short I shared is from a young man from Ecuador. He says that for his ancestors, spirituality was not something that was sold or bought, but a shared feeling in the community and with nature around. He says that "the sacred" is not a merchandise but a way of preserving life. That spirituality is not a way of obtaining peace, healing or material prosperity, and that a circle of people praying for peace is not enough to stop presnt wars. He says that spirituality is about respect for life, community and earth and that it has never been individual, but colective. More or less... I liked his message, in the end he says that if we really want to recover what's truly human, we should restore the sacred to its place, not use it as a fashion but as a guide, not use it as a commodity but as a guide, and protect it as inheritance. True spirituality is not about what we show, he says, but in the way we live, in respecting the earth and people's dignity, he says. That spirituality will enable us to find what's really human. I liked his concepts, because I feel we struggle in solitude mostly nowadays, and the "missing part" of that struggle is not individual, but colective... I'm glad you find my story encouraging...because I did not want to comunicate sorrow or darkness in no way, even though it's quite sad and it has been difficult, life pervails in all its mystery and depths, strength and continuity.
