Replying to cold email leads within 7 minutes using n8n
Last week I posted about pulling 1,000 leads from Apify for $4 and I've started reaching out to them by cold email in Instantly. The next problem is speed. When someone replies, I don't want them waiting hours for me to see it. So I set up an automated response outside of Instantly, in n8n: 1. When a lead replies, Instantly sends the reply to an n8n webhook. 2. An AI node reads the reply and the lead's company info and writes a response specific to them. 3. A short wait holds it so it doesn't land the same second. 4. The response sends within 7 minutes, day or night. How fast are you getting back to replies right now?

this is cool, I'm trying to learn automation so it's interesting to see the whole flow. is the short wait just a wait node in n8n or do you set it somewhere else?

@Jay Feldman oh nice, so it's just one node between the AI step and the send. way simpler than I thought, thanks Jay.
Free cold email bot
is there any free cold email bot which i can use to cold email for me with like 100 emails a day?

Chiheb, curious about the n8n idea. do you build the whole sending flow yourself, like the waits and follow ups, or is there a template for that?

@Chiheb Nasri ok that helps, thanks. so n8n to start for free and Instantly later if there's budget. what does Claude Cowork do in that setup, is it for writing the emails?

newbie here too, so the SPF, DKIM and DMARC thing Jay mentioned is still kind of confusing to me. is that something you set up where you bought the domain?

@Chiheb Nasri ah ok, so it's in the DNS records part where I bought the domain. sounds way less scary than I thought, thanks Chiheb.
Referral Update
Update on the referral question A few days ago I posted about a client who sent me three referrals without me asking. Thanks to everyone who replied. Since then, one of those referrals sent me his brother, and offered to pass my name to a few other owners he knows. So it went one level deeper. A few comments stuck with me. Asking right after a client says they’re happy. Thanking them by naming exactly what they did. Taking extra care of the people they send, since their name is on it. I appreciate all of your feedback it was another very helpful lesson. Although it seemed so obvious it wasn't something I was aware of doing. I will be asking all of my clients if there are three people who they think i can help

the part about thanking them by naming exactly what they did is nice. I'd probably have just said thanks lol. do you do that in a message or on a call?
Quick Tip: Cold email can cut your Meta ad costs.
Cold email makes everything else a lot easier. Especially Meta ad retargeting. You drive a ton of interested traffic to your site. A lot of people will not respond to the email. They will not book the call. But they still clicked. Now you have pixeled them. You already know they are interested, so you can build a retargeting pool. And run really low cost ads at people who have already shown interest. Retargeting ads are far cheaper and more efficient. If you build that pool with cold outreach, you make all of it more efficient.

newbie question, when you say pixeled, is that a small tracking code on your site that remembers who visited so you can show them ads later?
