Essential Shooting Tune-Up: CHAIN BREAKERS
Hey — this is an advanced tune-up that continues to improve the speed of the shot and sequence, as most players need their hands to move faster than their hips. Master ROCKERS first. Chain Breakers is Step 2. The problem: There's a strong neurological chain between the hands and the hips. Speed up the hands, the hips follow. That chain is why so many players look rushed on their shot — they're not rushed, they're chained. The goal: Get the hands up before the hips lift. Ball in the shot pocket before the feet land. The progression: 1. Together (Rockers) — dribble hand + step foot land at the same time. Still chained. 2. Hop into position — hop off the left foot, hands and feet arrive together on the catch. 3. Chain Breakers — hands in the pocket before the feet touch the ground. Hop higher. Speed the hands up. Hands lead. Feet follow. Shot fires out of it. To make the SAVI Shooting System available to every athlete, we've included the full system — Rockers, Chain Breakers, and the complete shooting sequence — inside our Training by SAVI community for just $13/month. Send this link to your players and parents: https://www.skool.com/training-savi/plans Limited-time price — have them join for one month and work the system before the season starts. @Mike Carlson leads the community and personally mentors the players. You teach share system. Mike coaches the reps. Players do the work. Let's break some chains this week.

I need this!
Actions in a conceptual offense
Hey everyone! I've been so fascinated with the Princeton offense, especially the Chin offense. I was wondering what your favorite actions in a conceptual offenses are. What are some things you have the non involved players do while the action is occurring?
Are you passing on this?
Hey Coach! Thanks for being a part of our SAVI community. Quick question... Are you passing on the risk-free, 30-day money back guarantee offer to upgrade your learning and join our SAVI Basketball Community? Reason I'm asking is because this past week in the community we shared information a coach like you would love: ways to keep off-season momentum going for your program, new ideas for the Drive and Space offense, and as a bonus, a LockLeft film review giving feedback on HS team defense. Coaches who join or upgrade this month will get instant access to all that, plus the rest of the community and the full SAVI classroom and courses. There is a HUGE opportunity for you right on the other side. If you don’t love it, reach out and I’ll get you a full refund. It’s a no-brainer. So...you in? Personally, I’m not coaching a program or team at the moment so buying wouldn’t make sense since I’m just training kids! I’d love to join once I’m a head coach again

Shot Selection... What do you see? 👀
@Tyler Coston and I just recorded this an episode of The Hours 🎙️ where we rated these shots through our SAVI Shot Scale. I attached an example of the scale but we really just used 9, 8, 7, and 5s (5s being not a shot we hunt). We’d love to hear how you see them — drop your own ratings below and let’s compare lenses when the episode goes live! 👇 Upgrade your membership to see last night's presentation on Player Development. 👍

I agree with Josh and Jason. One of my questions is Ranking paint shots, a little higher on the list than others. For example, shot one wasn’t in the paint mid range, that could also be a floater. Would we rate this maybe a six?
