I was just wondering how everyone reacts to this: I’m driving down the street and see the price of diesel.

@Randall Dowell right, especially now our days with so many apps available its easy to lose yourself in what is useful/ needed and what you wish to have available. This course as open my eyes a bit more to changing the mind set !!

@Randall Dowell yes exactly right sir. definitely something to learn and not over burden ourselves and devices.
👋 Hi, I’m Olivier !
Hi my name is Olivier. I live in Alberta, Canada and I plan on making $5000 to $ 7500 per month dispatching trucks at the beginning trying to set lower, more achievable targets but would love to bring much more as i grow and become more knowledgeable in the industry . I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1.  I would love to learn everything I can to launch a successful company. 2.  Help local and provincial drivers secure more profit for their business which help me/mine 3. The networking opportunities, support of a community truly in the same shoes as you providing possibly more insight if you get stuck. For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1.  I love spending time with my wife & daughters. From cooking dinners, to our movie nights. 2.  I enjoy playing video games from (fps, Simulator like Ats, Racing games, co-op, storylines.) 3.  I enjoy part of a vtc(virtual trucking company) and the community it brings and helped me realized how much enjoy and love trucking related avenues and why not make money while enjoy what i do which means never "working" a day in your life, so i was told growing up. https://youtube.com/shorts/ipqoxLNvTcM?feature=share —————————————————————————————————————————— I hope you all have a great day, weekend and hope to make some new connections with he community soon. Cheers!

@Barry Lewis thank you very much for the warm welcome and well wishes. Its a slow but steady journey hopefully moving forward for myself and trying to make solid ground with those plans. I agree the best things for drivers is as much information as possible rather then just pick up and drop off. Route suggestions is or i would think is appreciated and such. I find it very interesting connecting with previous experienced drivers/ individuals that have knowledge of Canada. I hope we get the opportunity to connect more thru the platform and possibly network the future. Cheers
What's the main reason you are working in dispatching world.
As im starting out my journey in this new career path it got me thinking, other than the obvious of needing to pay bills and liking money what was one if any of the main reasons that brought you into the world of dispatching ? For me it's multiple reasons from paying the bills, to my most honest a passion for the trucking industry. I want drivers to cover as many load as they can, hassle free/keep shippers happy with doing business & keep the world going in the easiest way possible!

@Yurima Toledo guibert that's great news and honestly speaking from what i remember of my dad doing the job when i was growing up that was main complaint dispatcher being vague with load details as you mentioned, getting them loads bordering illegal running almost with careless attitudes. now due to work injury looking at a new career but loads of drivers so far see me as a problem rather then solution and i haven't started i put out post in the online community in my area and was met with strong dislike for offering this service at minimal cost aka 2 to 6 % at the start to even offer a free week or 2 trial. but used the weekend to refocus and come back ready to take this on. I appreciate your input cheers.
Start my own business or work for another employer
Hi all, I am new to all this and don't really know anything about this role yet. For those of you who have been doing this for a bit. Is it better for someone like me to work for a remote dispatching company or bit the bullet and start an LLC? Thank you all for help! -Dylan

I'm in an area in northern Alberta, Canada where oil & gas are moving constantly. Loads of small guys have started hot shots and moving company's which had me thinking about how much freight gets moved and there for looked at remote dispatch on indeed but unlike you my area seem to lack of suckmh a service which got me thinking deeper into starting my own remote company where I work alone but network with many its not even started and I recently jist joined this dispatch community which so far have been positive, valuable knowledge and cant wait to continue diving into it and seeing the possibility of it all. One day at a time and remember Rome wasnt built in one day ! Its all about your comfort, demand in your area in my opinion which way you choose to go with. I truly hope this can have helped you a little see both side of things !!!
Moving forward
What have you found to be the best way to connect with your 1st carrier

From my basic understanding of the industry the cold calls can be a solid way if you're ready for loads of rejection but im only starting out so learning still so will try to return with a more solid answer in the future but wanted to connect and input a way I knew ! Cheers !!!
