@Ericha F Help me to understand what you mean about what part am I in the video? What video are your referring to? As far as Asia goes, I would stay in Thailand or Vietnam even Cambodia even though I've not been to Cambodia I've talked to many that have. Problem is Thailand's retirement visa has many hoops to jump through but doable. Vietnam doesn't currently have a Retirement visa you have to exit the country every 90 days. Cambodia is the easiest and cheapest out of those 3 examples. My wife is from Thailand which has bad blood with Cambodia which is why I'll probably never get there. Vietnam and Thailand are beautiful but they both are what I call Paradise with a trash problem. Cost of living is comparable in both of those. The weather is hot which is fine by me, I live in Canada. North Vietnam can be cooler in the winter but not snowy. Of course there are other places in Asia I would love to visit but haven't. As far as comparing these places to North America, I would tell anyone thinking about going, visit first don't just say I'm moving here without experiencing life there. I been 9 times to Thailand now 5 times to Vietnam, the 1st time I went to Thailand was Jan 2017 and I honestly didn't like it until I gave myself and attitude adjustment, I said, Self if you are going to like this experience you are going to have to get it through your thick skull this ISN"T North America. Then I started enjoying my self and now I can't wait to return. Lastly rents can be much cheaper, eating out can be from supper cheap to expensive. Look at it this way, You can have everything you want if you willing to pay the price. If you can learn to live like a local you will live cheaply. Hopefully this helps.
