Looking for some input on how this fit looks.
54 year old just getting back into Road cycling after taking 10 plus years off. Was dealing with hypothyroidism. Was misdiagnosed for several years causing me to put on a lot of weight. In the last 7 months I've lost 90 lb because I got back on the bike and adjusted my diet significantly. I am 6 ft tall currently 240 lb. My new bike is a canyon Endurace size medium.

No aches or pains after certain micro adjustments to include saddle fore and aft. My original complaints were hand numbness after a little while but that has been fixed. I was wondering if the medium might be a little too small. I went off of stack height and reach when I made the purchase. I used to ride 58 cm Trek,58cm specialized and a 57 Orbea. So based off of those numbers I kind of figured the Canyon medium was the fit.

I'm also thinking as I continue to drop weight the fit may change.
Struggling with knee pain for several weeks
Hi everyone! Im new here in The Bile Fit Academy, and Im very pleased to be here! Ive been suffering pain in the front-inner part of the right knee for some weeks, especially when pushing the pedal down with the foot horizontal and parallel to the ground. If I tilt my foot slightly to push more with the metatarsals, the pain is reduced. When pulling the pedal by exerting force with the hamstrings (round pedalling), there is no discomfort, only when pushing the pedal down. I am attaching videos from various angles (front, back and side) as well as images of the cleat adjustment on my cycling shoes (Shimano RC7). As for my medical history, I have had ACL surgery on my right knee. On the other hand, my left knee tends to swell from time to time, especially the lower area of the kneecap (Hoffa's fat pad). After reviewing several documents on bike fitting and cycling-related injuries, I suspect that it may be a goose foot injury, but I am not 100% certain. I have been doing many strengthening and activation exercises for the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, abductors, adductors, and core prior to cycling sessions to send signals to my body to activate and push the pedal with my glutes and not so much with my quadriceps, as this could be one of my biggest problems, but the discomfort has not yet disappeared. I hope someone in the community can help me solve my knee pain problems! THANKS!!!

Have you checked your Q-factor. Maybe a two and a half millimeter spacer to bring your pedals out a bit. Or cleat positioning. That's what I did, it helped get rid of front interior knee pain.
Fit review
64 yr old road cyclist looking for review of position on bike. Slight back and saddle discomfort after 3+ hour rides on trainer. I also get neck and shoulder pain, but only sometimes?

It looks pretty good. And as I am trying to figure out my FIT on my new bike I'm learning that certain micro adjustments that are required are hard to pick up in the videos. I would think no matter how good the fit, 3+ hours on the trainer will still cause some discomfort without taking a couple minutes break here and there.
