Hey hey cousin, "Be specific and make sure the object of your goal is entirely under your control, not dependent on others or the environment around you.β I read this somewhere, but a good quote is a good quote. This one hit me because I know we all can have reasons ("excuses", cough cough) for not getting things done. I have heard them all, I use to teach, so if you come up with an excuse I haven't heard I will be impressed. I know growing up, I was very creative. I had a story, a reason, and it was so good, but my parents weren't having it. I was the oldest too, so they had their strength and their youth, not to mention that belt. ππ€£ My parents did not play ok... I joke that I was double dutching, hop scotching and doing the moon walk ok! But i digress, ... all of that is to say, do what you came here to do. My parents made sure I knew, excuses didn't live in our house.. I had to answer for my actions, nobody else, and don't depend on others or what I don't have or feel like I can't do as a reason to not get things done. I grew up knowing if I could be creative with an excuse, I could be creative with a solution. To this day, I enjoy figuring things out and solving puzzles so to speak. So here is the quote again:: βBe specific and make sure the object of your goal is entirely under your control, not dependent on others or the environment around you.β How will you take away and remove any "excuses" from you achieving your goals here? Start small and build from there. How will you stop the excuses for today? for this week? for this month?
